Sawyers, which will be vacated by Elwood Kessler next month. Mr. and Mrs. James Reid have rented the east side of John Auld's property. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Auld, who now live there will move into H. O. Hutton's house on Cherry street. Mrs. Ella Clark and Mrs. G. M. Arnold visited Mrs. T. L. Porterfield and daughter, Pearl, Thursday. Lee Thurston, Harry Hahn and Lute Hinmon will entertain a large crowd of friends at the K. of P. hall Friday evening. The ladies of the M. E. Aid society will give an Easter market Saturday in the old postoffice room. The ladies of the Christian church will give a souvenir social at the K. of P. hall, Saturday evening. The funeral of Mary Ann Lundy was held on Thursday. March 28 , at the West Grove church. Bishop Hallack Floyd of Dublin, officiating. Mary Ann Lundy. nee Norman, was born May 20th, 1S33; died March 23, 1907; aged 73 years. 10 months and 6 days. She was married to James A Lundy, June the 2nd, 1833. To this union three children were born, MalaMartha and Charles. Charles preceded his mother to their heavenly home about 8 years. Mrs. Lundy joined the church of the United Brethren jn Christ, about 33 sears aso under the labors of Rev. David Gunckle. For many years she was a verv active memDer of the church and was a great heln in revival work. She and her husband nttpndpd rpvival sprvirps far nnrf near until a few years ago. when they were hindered from so doing bv his failing health. Rut her interest in the rhnrrh and in the work of her Master never failed her from the time of her conversion until the Lord called her home. She has been afflicted for about twelve months; for six months she has been confined to the house, and for the last few weeks her suffering has been in tense; but amidst It all she was rec onciled to the will of God and talked her departure with the assurance of faith, exhort ins her children, crandchildren and neighbors to meet her in heaven.
