AN MACLAREN WILL PILL LECTURE DATE

Noted Author to Appear Here On April 26. DEWITT MILLER SECURED. The backers of the local popular lecture course have received positive assurance that Ian Maclaren will appear in Richmond on the night of April 26. That will be the final number of the course. After a thorough investigation the lecture course committee has found it impossible to make a date with Dr. Frank Bristol and in his place the committee has secured the well known platform orator, DeWitt Miller, who will give his lecture on "The I Self Sufficiency of the Republic," on the night of April 8. The committee feels fortunate that it has secured the services of such an able man to fill the Bristol date. Mr. Bristol was to have appeared at the Gennett, but he did not reach the city. The lecture by Mr. Miller will tend to offset any disappointment which might have arisen from the failure of Dr. Bristol to come. Do Not Crowd the Season. The first warm days of spring bring with them a desire to get out and enjoy the exhilarating air and sunshine. Children that have been housed up all winter are brought out and you wonder where they all came from. The heavy winter clothing is thrown aside and many shed their flannels. Then a cold wave comes and people say that grip is epidemic. Colds at this season are even more dangerous than in midwinter, as there is much more danger of pneumonia. Take Chamberlains Cough Remedy, however, and you will have nothing to fear: It always cures, and we have never known a cold to result in pneumonia when it was used. It is pleasant and safe to take. Children like it. " For sale by A. G. Luken & Co. MARKETS Richmond. RAIN PROVES OF BENEFIT. Local Grain and Feed Dealers Profit By Weather Conditions.
