MUST REGISTER AGAIN Automobile Owners to Have More Expense.

STATE TO PROFIT BY IT.

All of the owners of automoltilf-s in the State will have to iut uj auother dollar toward the support of the State under the new automobile law passed ly the last General Assembly. This 2a17 'will become effective with the

publication of the acts, about the middle of April. At first it was not understood that the new law would require every automobile owner to register his machine agrain. It was supposed to be amendatory to the present law and the general sentiment was that new registration would not be necessary under the .Jaw. An examination of the new law shows the contrary to be the real situation, and the office of the Secretary of State is getting ready to dtal out new numbers to automobile owners. The law provides for a different series of n tun hers. Kach machine will have to be renumbered, therefore, and reregistered with the Secretary of State. The registration fee is $1, as

before. The new numbers must be white, against a black background, four inches high. The numbers are to be placed both on the front and the back of the machine.

AN AUTO PLANT CONTRACT. Greensburg Company Will Build Big Factory at Newcastle.

New Castle, Ind., March 27. The contract was let this afternoon for the big plant of the Maxwell-Brisco Auto Company to Pulse & Porter of Greensburg. Ind. The contract price is ?150,000 for buildings, covering eight acres. The work began immediately and, will be continued night and day.

Shelbyville, Ind., March 27. Mob violence is feareti as the result of the arrest of George Anderson, 25 years old, a resident of Van Buren township, for an assault alleged to have been committed upon Bessie Anderson, Lis

8 year old niece. The arrest of Anderson by two deputy sheriffs and Prosecutor Charles Hack proved a hazardous undertaking, and on the trip back to the county jail in a big automobile several attempts were made by the enraged neighbors to get the prisoner away from the officers. Numerous times the big machine was speeded up to pass the groups of men who, wrought up by the news of the arrest, bad gathered by the road. . , Several are said to have carried shot guns and rifles ami to have eommanderl the-dt'iver of the car to stop. Extra precautions are being taken tonight by Sheriff Iiatler, to guard his prisoner from any attempts at mob violence.

TRIED TO FORGE A CHECK. Son of Prof. Eeeler of Indiana University Law School in Trouble.

Prof. Beeler, of the Indiana University, law school, well known to many Richmond people, is having the experience of try ing to manage a wayward son. Young Beeler left home and went to Anderson where he was arrested for trying to pass a forged check. His father was notified of the boy's act and secured a suspension ti sentence for ..him on condition that he behave ever afterward.
