-BIG SLUMPJN HOGS. PROPS COMPLETELY KNOCKED FROM UNDER THE MARKET. Decline Amounted to Forty Cents and the Total in Two Weeks is Seventy Cents. (Jlarch 26.) The props which have been under the hog market for the past few days were knocked completely out this morning, prices dropping about forty cents on the hundred pounds in the local market. The drop is the most severe that has occurred in several months, if not years, as it is very seldom that such a large sum is sliced off the high price quotations at one time. Farmers who are still feeding hogs will no doubt be chargined when they learn of this decline. When asked as to the cause of the decline in prices, a local stock dealer said that fresh pork products were hard to dispose of on the retail market owing to the warm weather. The money market was also blamed, as since the flurry in Well street a few weeks ago, all live stock markets have been affected. During the past two weeks hogs have declined 70 cents on the hundred pounds on the local market and 75 cents from the highest price quoted this winter. THE LOCAL MARKETS. (The prices quoted below are those paid by J. M. Eagemeyer, Main & Fourth streets, for produce, veget ables and fruits. HEAT PROSTRATION IS REPORTED TODAY Isaac Simcoke, an Aged Resident, Collapsed While at Holzapfers Junk Shop.

The first case of heat prostration in Richmond during the present year and probably the first case that has occurred here during the month of March in any previous year, was recorded this morning when Isaac Simcoke, a man over 70 years of age and weighing over 200 pounds, collapsed at the Holzapfel junk shop on North D street. The ambulance was called to remove Mr. Simcoke to his home on North Third street but when the ambulance arrived Mr. Simcoke, who had been revived by a physician who had been summoned by Mr. Holzapfel refused to enter it, stating that he felt alright and wanted to know what all the trouble had been about. It was explained to him that he had collapsed and that it was thought he had been seriously affected. He walked to his home. HOTELS ARE BUSY PLACES.
