Vaudeville at the Phillips. Those who are looking for a hearty laugh, in an effort to shake off the cares of the- business of life, should lz to the New Phillips this week and Vltness the vaudeville performance. There is not only one laugh but a fccore of laughs in it and one will feel much better for bavin? remained through the performance. The Four PYanks, who put on a domestic comedy in one act, furnish almost fun
enough for a whole evening and it ia rf that lively kind that allow3 for no drags. The Avolettes, equilibrists, while they do not pretend to have a comedy feature to their stunt, nevertheless give an amusing setting to the turn, growing out of the somewhat ludicrous way in which the senior member of the team shakes and Jostles the "cub" around with his feet. Lovers of motion pictures will agree that the two films shown this week are of surpassing interest. "Red Feather" Gennett. DeKoven. Klein and Cook's famous comic opera, "Red Feather," will be
the attraction at the Gennett theater
Friday night. The music is by Regi
nald DeKovrn. composer of "Robin Hood"; Charl?3 Klein, who "ro'te "The Music Master" and "The Lion and the Monse." furnished the libretto; and Charles Emerson Cook, a Relaseo protege, contributed the lyrics. That "Red Feather," with the magnificent original production and mtny of the creative company is coming Is mo?t welcome news to the patrons of that playhouse. The title role will be sung by MIps Chrridah Simpson. "Around the. Clock" Gennett. Comedy that is hilarious, rongs that are tuneful and fun makers that are famous in two continents, are a few of the salient features of the latest musical entertainment that is to hold the boards at the Gennett Thursday night.
The name of this sterling piece of melodious frivolity is called "Around the Clock," which has been chosen as a fitting medium for the Introduction of the Ritch!: London Comedy company,
a band of players who are without a
peer in their particular branch of
work. The Ritchie comedians were the real hits last season, when they presented their world , famous travesty called "A Night in a London Music Hall." Maude Fealy Gennett. Considerable "Interest attaches to the engagement ; or Maude Fealy at the
Gennett on Saturday night in that her nppearance-ia to be made in the title role of "The Illusion of Beatrice," the new comedy by Martha Morton. Miss Fealy has by long and successful work as a leading woman with bir Henry Irving. W'm. Gillette, E. S. Willard and Wm. Collier, demonstrated her ability as a versatile actress, until, finally by common Consent, she Is placed among the leading feminine stars of the country. Under the direction of John Cort, the youngest star on the dramatic stage has been provided with a play in which the title role is admirably suited to Miss Fealy's girlish personality. The action of the play begins in the New York home of Mr. and Mrs. John Stewart. The latter, a society woman, has taken up magazine writing as a fad and learning of her husband's ward.
Beatrice, attempts to make capital of the affair by incorporating the romantic incidents of. the girl's life into a story.

Richmond testimony has been published to prove the merit of Doan's Kidney Pills to others in Richmond, who suffer from bad backs and kidney ills. Lest any sufferer doubt that the cures made by Doan's Kidney Pills are thorough and lasting, we produce confirmed proof statements from Richmond people saying that the cures they told of years ago were permanent. Here's a Richmond ciise: Charles A. Fry, for a number of years a member of the Richmond Fire Department, living at 40 Fort Wayne avenue, Richmond, Ind., says: "A few years ago I got Doan's Kidney Pills at A. G. Luken & Co's drug store for my son, Harrison, who had been troubled much of his life with weakness of the kidneys. I had heard the remedy well recommended for such cases. After he had taken them a short time his condition was much improved, and we continued the treatment for a while longer until his kidneys were again in normal condition. Since then he has never troubled, and I can not praise Doan's Kidney Pills too highly." For sale by all dealers. Price 50 cents.
