the services of a carefully trained corps of assistants, they not only relieve the property owner of all anxiety, and care, but also assure him that the work will be better than that done by less experienced help. The Eureka Gates are said to be the best on the market. They are made in any height and to fit any size opening. The frame is constructed of steel tubing, and is not threaded at the lower corners and attached with an 'Ell" as is the usual method; on the contrary, the corners are joined with a malleable-iron lug, which Is forced into the opening of the

tubing, and, thereby making the gate frame as solid as if it were one piece. The fabric is woven by hand directly to the frame, and Is diamond in shape. It can be had In a 2x3, xx.", or 4x7 inch mesh. The smaller mesh is intended primarily for poultry purposes. These gates are happily combined with an artistic grace that blends graciously with their positive strength. . Eureka Fence Company. This business was established in 1S93 as a part of the Richmond Safety Gate Co. In 1902 that company sold this part of their business to the present owners. In June 1905, having outgrown its quarters and " hampered for space, this company purchased the real estate known as the street car barn, 22nd and North E. street, and by careful planning remodeled this building and vonverted it into a modernized factory. It has a capital stock of $10,000. The present officers are: A. J. Mullen, Pres.; O. M. Mullen, V. Pres.; S. T. Hastings, Secy. GREAT PLANT is low, and easy to handle. Mr. Johnson can supply you with peeded information and it will aid you in your decisions. Most of the world's supply of platinum, states an official of the Geological Survey, comes from the southern part of the Ural mountains in Russia. According to the report of the Russian Ministry of Finance, the increased demand for the metal of late years has raised the price for the ray material to nearly $300 a pound, and yet only 12.000 pounds of it were produced last year. In fact, the production fell off largely from that of the preceding year. Missouri girls are still throwing bottled letters into the Missouri river to see what will turn up. A year ago a Carroll county girl cast a message on the waters at St. Louis. Recently she received an answer from a young engineer In the employ of the Government river improvement service station a few miles below Memphis, Tenn. The iettes stated that the bottle had been found in a crevasse by workmen engaged in the work of repairing the levee. .
