A supper party was given at Bethel last evening in honor of Miss Ruby Hunt's house guests. Those in the company were: Misses Norah Heron, Bess Bosler and Fredricka Faulkner, of Connersville and Ruby Hunt; Messrs. Orville Comer, Omer Whelan, Ernest Hill and Harry Jay. Mrs. George Fox entertained the members of the Dorcas Society yesterday afternoon at her home on South 14th street. The afternoon was devoted to -needlework and refreshments were served. Mrs. -Richard Moore will be the hostess for the next meeting in two weeks. . The Misses Nettie Cook and Rose Brinker gave a charming reception last evening at the home of Miss Cook on South 7th street in honor of Miss Nellie Burton of Logansport. Dublin Horse Valued at $125 Backs in Front of Moving Car and Loses Its Life. 1

Dublin, Ind., Oct. S. (Spl) A few days ago a horse belonging to Nathan Stant was taken from the stable to be hitched to a drummer's wagon. The animal became frightened at an approaching interurban car from the East and backed in front of the car with the result that it was hit and killed. The horse was valued at 1123.

Dublin, Ind., Oct S. (Spl.) Mrs. Carter Carey is visiting for two weeks with her children at Farmland, Ind. "Kit" Butler, who has been In North Dakota for two months, has returned to his home here. Miss Florence Manley, whose parents recently removed from Richmond to Dublin, has taken a position with the large dry goods house of Morris and Krahl of Cambridge City, as a saleslady. The skating rink in Odd .Fellows' hall, was opened for the season last Saturday night. There was a large attendance and a grand march at 9 p. m. The music was furnished by the Cajrrtfridge City Band.

Dublin Rink Opened. - Dublin, Ind., Oct 8. (Spl.) There was a large crowd present at the opening of the skating rink in Odd Fellows Hall last Saturday night The night was cool and particularly, fine for that kind of sport All present had a good time. Music was furnished by the Cambridge City Band.
