All ballots Hated August 14 must be in this office before 6 o'clock to night in order to be counted. The earlier they are received the better for the Palladium force which must count and compile them. A new. series of ballots, for the third week of the contest, will begin tomorrow morning. Today the lodoe members who are interested will begin the hustling for the round-up of the ballots. Just how many will be cast tonight cannot be told in advance, hut there are indications that considerable more than were 'recorded one week ago today will be on file when the bell taps 6 tonight. It has been demonstrated by the interest taken in the contest that there are scores of persons aside from lodge members who are taking a deep interest in the affair. Proof of this is shown by the fact that there have been a number of persons to call at the Palladium office during the last few days and pay advance subscriptions, giving votes to lodges in which thev felt interested though they are not members of any secret or fraternal society. CONDITIONS OF CONTEST. FIRST PRIZE To the secret or fraternal organization in Richmond or in any town in Wayne County, which shall receive the largest number of votes during the period of this contest, a STARR PIANO with MECHANICAL PLAYER ATTACHMENT, built within the piano, will be given absolutely free. The cost of this instrument is $850. SECOND PRIZE To the secret or fraternal organization in Richmond or in any town in Wayne County which shall receive the second largest number of votes, a beautiful lodge altar with elegantly leather bound Bible, valued at $75, will be given absolutely free. THIRD PRIZE To the member of any men's secret or fraternal organization in Richmond or Wayne County who shall procure the greatest number of votes for his lodge, a solitaire diamond ring, costing $75 will be given absolutely free. FOURTH PRIZE To the lady who is a member of any woman's secret or fraternal organization in Richmond or Wayne County who shall procure the largest number of votes for her lodge, a solitaire diamond ring will be given absolutely free.
