The local market Is now in the midst of the vegetable season. At the south tjth street market Saturday night there were vegetables on every Bide and hundreds of loaded baskets went away laden for yesterday's din ner. There is plenty of fruit. Pear trees are laden and they are beginning to come to the market. There are plenty of apples. Celery was never better.
