Local opalors in honey say beo men rn complaining that the condition of clover this year has cut their honey crop short by 10 per cent. Much of the honey made in this part of the country conies from clover blossoms, which are recognized as the best hon-cy-produciriK flowers (under ordinary circumstances) grown in large fpiantities. This year clover has been of poor quality us far as honey is concerned, the yield being only :i little more than half what is usually obtained from the average field. With this decrease at hand, dealers are expecting a strong advance in honey ricen within the month.

Receipts of bogs were almost equal to winter run and much linger than necessary. Similar reports were received from other places and conditions generally were not favorable to the selling sid. There was an early active market, at a decline of "ft 10c. After the first hour, with little inquiry from outside sources, there were no sales that, were not. 10c below- yesterday and some were at 15c decline. Cattle Not up to Average. Only a small part of the fresh cattle were up to standard. There were uot enough heavy steers to encourage competition so juices held about v.teady. There was poor demand for steers other than top kinds, and prices were weak to a sha.de lower. Rids for steers weighing around 1,250 pounds that were not. well finished were 2T,r lower. There was a fair demand for good stockers and feeding cattle at steady prices.
