A small fire in the basement under Iho meat shop of Arthur Brooks. 1129 Main street, called out the fire department at an early hour this morning. Little damage was done, other than by smoke. The flat occupied by Charles Worth above the meat shop suffered somewhat by the smoke. Harry Spayd Uie leader of the Indiana-Ohio gang of horse thieves has been sentenced to four years in the penitentiary. He was sentenced from St. Mary's, Ohio. ' A. J. Kinney a prosperous farmer of Center township thrashed 147 bushels of wheat from three acres, making an average of 49 bushels to tho acre. Walter E. Petty the old Western League polo star Is visiting in Muncle. As he has several good business Interests In the West he will remain there. The Junior League of the Third M.
