Fruit Jars are being made in large numbers. This year has brought the heaviest sales, not only in Richmond, but in almost every city in the country, that have ever been known. No one attempts to say where the Jars go for certainly there are not scores of millions of jars broken every year. The output for lftOG will run well toward one hundred million jars perhaps more, practically all made by an Indiana company. From this city, by far the largest number of jars shinned are quarts. Pints and half-gallons are used, but together they make up only about one elith of the total number sold. COUNTRY PRODUCE. (Paid by the Bee'HIva Grocery.) Butter. Publishers' Press New York, July IS. First prices in the stock market were at fractional concessions from the closins last night. Dealings were on a very small scale, and changes generally narrow. Smelting lost nearly a point and National Lead and Brooklyn Transit large fractions. Interest in the market appeared to have died out for the time being, none of the prominent stocks fluctuating enough to attract notice. The undertone was heavy and trading nominal.
