Receipts, 8,000 hogs, 1,750 cattle and 1,000 sheep, against 15,319 hogs, 2,278 cattle and 856 sheep a week ago, and 5,655 hogs, 1,037 cattle and 690 sheep a year ago. Receipts of cattle were smaller than expected and with a continued scarcity of good kinds there was a good active demand, especially from local packers and an easy outlet at fully steady prices as compared with yesterday for most kinds and the best steeers strong. Publishers' Press Cincinnati, July 13. Receipts Cattle, G91; Hogs, 1808; Sheep 7000. Cattle Affairs in the trade in the catle market were much the same as the rest of the week, the good and prime fat grades carrying good weight moving fairly at about steady prices, and the plain and commoner kinds very slow and weak and possibly some lower. Hogs Although the receipt of hogs today were light, an easier and downward tendency to prices was manifest from the start on account of a sharp decline reported in other markets.
