Seeing Doan's Kidney Pills recommended although all other medicines I tried failed to do any good I thought they might held me and I got a box at A. G. Luken's drug store and began their use. CATTLE MARKET SLOW HOGS WERE ACTIVE AND PRICES HAD UPWARD TENDENCY. (Publishers' Press 1. Cincinnati-, O., June 12. Receipts: Cattle, 193; hogs, 1,853; sheep, 2,492. Cattle Under a light demand confined mainly to local sources, and corresponding light receipts, the condition of affairs in the cattle market today was of the usual Tuesday inactive character, and prices, as a rule, were practically the same as were egenerally in evidence yesterday. A wonderful canary bird belongs to a family in Everett. The little fellow has the freedom of the house, flying whithersoever he Hsteth at all times. While good friends with every member Df the family, he is particularly attached to the child of the house, a little girl four or five years old. When the child comes where the canary is he rushes excitedly to meet her and begins the most frantic caresses, perching on her head and shoulders and finally nestling under her ear, where he reaches round to the rosy chin and lips and kisses them in true bird fashion. But not content with this ardent demonstration t.e insists on making the little girl open oer mouth, and then he daintily taps each tooth with his tiny beak. If she refuses to part her lips "to see what the bird will do," as she says, he scolds and flutters and even pecks at her cheek until he finally obtains ,his own way again. What the idea can be, unless Mr. Canary thinks the white teeth are bits of sugar or cuttlefish, it is difficult to conjecture. That he has some method in his caprice is quite evident To no one else does he show any such marked attention. Boston Herald. Tio More Fatal Letters. WHEAT MARKET WAS BEARISH IN ITS TENDENCY CORN AND OATS STRONG. Publishers' Press Chicago, June 12. The Government report made public late yesterday, which showed a higher condition of winter wheat than had been generally expected, had a weakening effect on the local wheat market. Absence of rain in the Northwest was also a depressing influence on the price. Shorts Covered in Corn. The corn market opened easier in sympathy with the weakness of wheat, but initial declines were quickly regained on active covering by shorts. Oats were strong the showing of the Government report being the chief factor. Wheat.
