Vaudevtlfe at the Gennett. "Darling Will You Love Me When I'm Old?" one of the songs that Is being sung at the Gennett this week by
Ernest Renk is counted one of the
ost pleasing illustrated offerings glv-
there for a long time. Not only
des Mr. Renk sing it nicely, but the
illustrations are especially pleasing.
rs of motion pictures have found
a tare treat thl3 week in "Rip's Drpam," which is as fantastic and as remarkable a creation in this line as
would care to see. Jennings and
Jrfwell, German comedians, have a
turn that gets them a cordial greeting
om the audiences. Warm weather not troubling patrons of the Gennett
s the house is quite comfortable.
Vaudeville at the Phillips. Manager Murray has taken precautions to see that his patrons shall not suffer from the heat. To reduce the temperature he has installed a number of electric fans and in addition has hit upon the plan of keeping largs cakes of Ice at,the edge cf the stage, with fans above them. As the New Phillips is to be open the entire summer the patrons will be cared for in the very best manner possible. This week's bill, which is a deserving one is being accorded liberal patronage. No performances will be given tomorrow as
A truthful, realistic story, aye-Inspiring In its very realism, of the terthe San Francisco motion pictures will be shown both afternoon and night. . Earthquake Pictures, Tomorrow, rlble catastrophe at San Francisco, reproduced by marvelous motion pictures taken on the ground by the Frisco Motion Picture Company, is to be exhibited in the New Phillips on Friday afternoon and evening. These views are said to be the greatest ever taken of any event of public interest, and show in detail all the incidents which accompanied this catastrophe. The -city is first shown wrecked by the earthquake, and then the views tell the story of the holocaust which
completed its distruction. Finally the suffering of the hundreds of thousands of homeless people are shown by the truthful camera. The views were taken by skilled operators during the progress of the disaster, with a moving picture plant which fortunately escaped distruction in the earthquake.

Assessors Meet Today.
The fifteen township assessors of Wayne county, will meet today with the County Assessor, A. G. Cornnton, at the Court House, and make the return of their work during the past few months. It will then be known what is the assessed value of the property of Wayne county, with the exception of the value of corporations. This will be determined by the Board of Review when it convenes in June.
Palladium Want Ads Pay.
According to a Pan Handle conductor's story, there was one of the most peculiar passengers on his train out of Chicago a few nights ago that he has had for many a day. J. L. West,
a wealthy California mine owner, unable to tell how or why he was on the
train, left It at Logansport, having boarded the car in Chicago. He said he had $3,000 the last he remembered. He had $Sa on his person when he came to his senses. Physicians who examined him corroborated his story that he does not drink, and believe that he has been in a trance for several days. West's last recollection is of being in San Francisco on the day of the earthquake and since that time he remembers nothing. He said he had relatives in New York and left Sunday for that city.
John Dwyer Resigns.
John Dwyer, for several years con
nected with the depot restaurant as manager, has resigned his position and as yet his successor has not been appointed. It, is probable that Lewis Strothaus, who has been at the restaurant for several years, will be appointed manager. Mr. Dwyer has not made known his future plans.
