Donley, who gave recitals on the organ Monday evening and last evening, in connection with the ignorance on the part of one of the church officials that there were two sets of chimes. Monday morning, Mr. Donley stated, he was practicing upon the organ and he incidentally tested the organ cnlmes. Mr. Meneely ,wno installed the large chimes, had left orders that no one was to play on them until a man naa neen secured ror tais duty. When the church official referred to, heard the organ chimes, he immediateiy tnougnt Mr. Meneely s orders were being disobeyed. He rushed to tne belfry and locked tne door so tnat the culprit would be imprisoned in the tower. A former pastor of the Lutheran church in this city, the Rev. H. WIckemeyer, of Michigan City, will preach in the morning, in English. In the afternoon the Rev. H. Schmidt, of Middletown, Ohio, will speak in German. He will be followed by the Rev. H. Bachman, of Columbus, Ohio, who is an excel lent speaker. Besides the speaking, there will be several musical numbers. Special committees are busy making arrange ments for the picnic transportation and attending to other business. Call to Democrats. A call to the Democrats of Wayne County has been issued by County Chairman Webster Parry, urging them to meet in the City Council Chamber in mass convention on next Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, to elect delegates to the coming State and Congressional conventions. The members elect of the County Central Committee are also requested to be present at the same place, at 11 in the morning and elect a county chair man and other officers. Druids' New Quarters.
