Local florists are doing a largv faster biiHfnecH and they havu and are
Htlll receiving mor orders than can conveniently 1 taken care of. Richmond Is known far and wide as a great flower market and a week or twj before) any holiday orders begin to pour in oh'thein In vast quantities. Almost all'Uhe go-called .'"Easter flowers" are planted In the fall of the year preceding their Kale. Flowers which are being, hurried to the market now were planted In the full of 1905, and all winter were carefully nurtured by the florists for the bprlru trade. . Tho hyacinths were left In the out of door beds most of the winter, covered with a heavy mat found warmer winter honies under the glass roofs of the hothouses. As spring, came the hyacinths were carried Into the hot houses and at Hrst were given a medium heat and about half of the natural sunlight. Within a few weeks the-plants became Individuals before this they had all been little shoots with no individuality at all. Richmond people are great lovers of Easter flowers, and conservative florists estimate that there will be many thousand potted plants sold in the city during the Easter flower trade. COUNTRY PRODUCE.
