Mr. Kelcey Has Done Better on Former Visits and Miss Shannon Does Not Have a Very Opportune Part Eva Tangnay Will Close a Week of Good Things in Her Vehicle, "The Sambo Girl" Tonight. Herbert Kelcey and Miss EfTie Shannon in "The Lightning- Conductor" pleased a large audience last evening- at the Gennett. The play is dramatized from a recent popular novel by that name and the text rill 1 I D11 -1 a -- oi me uook is ioiiowea closely. Mr. Kelcey in the part of "John Winston" was not as g-ood as in other parts he has been seen in here. Miss Shannon made the best of a part that did not give her the opportunity of doing the best acting she is capable of , but the clever little actress made the best of what she had to do. John Bunny in the part of a retired English brewer, sight seeing in France, was excellent. His was- one nit i r-i l i or me nest ingiisn pans ever seen on t lie tiennett stage, rlouanl imrand in the part, of the French "villian" carried his part' splendidly. 1 lit' MTUIC 't'ilCl IS MCIf IJCiUllllUI. Taken as a Avhole the play was ac ceptable. Miss Eva Tanguay, whose strenu--i i i -t i ous stage deportment aaiu magnetic personality have won for her a po sition in the front rank of American comediennes of today, will be the offering at the Gennett theatre tomorrow night. She will present the aughable play of the year, "The Sambo Girl." Harry B. Will the public tolerate forever lie risque French farces, and nerve ackiug melodramas seven times a week, or do they want clean, wholee and pure humor of an Ameri can comedv. is the ouestion many playgoers and managers have asked themselves and each other. If they want the clean drama, then crowded houses are assured dainty Adelaide Thurston unon the occasion of her i i ' forthcoming production of her Inlaw "The Triumph of Hetty" new A pa ot rsetiy" at the ( rennet t theatre on next Monday evening. Miss Thurston has found her new play by W. A. The comedy is rich with pure hu mor and as the company engaged in the support of Miss Thurston is most talented, playgoers of this city will see an attraction of a high order of merit and the patronage should be most generous. Vaudeville at the New Phillins. Manager Murray, of the New Phil lips, who has been out of the city for several days this week, has secured some good features for the vaude ville bill that will be presented at his house next week. BARNES IS EXAMINED Man Who Was Found Near Scene of the Murder, Called Before the Grand Jury. Bedford, Intl., March 22. (Special.) The Grand Jury is still investi gating the mystery surrounding the murder of Sarah Schafer. Many witnesses are daily examined. Among them is William Barnes, who was under arrest at Denver Colo., under suspicion that he was the man found in the Brooks Curtis boiler-room on the night of the murder by watchman Shrout, and who, when questioned by Shrout, replied that the two men with whom he had been taking in the town, had sent him there to dry himselt. tine ot these men is now a resident of Indianapolis. He was before the' grand jury yesterday, and was questioned for two hours. Judge Wilson reports that the grand jury Avill have to xidourn Saturday, as the term of the court will then end. Owing to the strictest secrecy on the part of the officials, and their caution to witnesses, nothing can be learned as to the character of the testimony which is being submitted, or whether or not indictments will be returned. Publio opinion is about evenly divided as to what the result will be. CENTRALIZING SCHOOLS New Paris and the Township in Which It Is Located Considering the Matter. It, was found that the peti tion will have to be acted on at a regular meeting of the board, when due return will be made to the coun ty supervisors of elections, who will order the election and fix the date for the same. PROSING THE

Nervous Women

THeir Sufferings Ar Usually ' Due to Female Disorders Perhaps Unsuspected A MEDICINE THAT CURES Can we dispute ; mm the well-known lact tliat A merican I women are nerivous ? mm How often dowe hear the e.voression, "lam so ner, vous, it M-einsas if 'i should fly:"' or, " Iion't speak to lfoAf..Sjofxvetm "le things 1 'Vannoy you and make you irritable ; you can't sleep. toti are unable to quietly and calmly perform your daily tasks or care for your children. The relation of the nerves and generative organ's in woman is so close that nine-tenths of the nervous prostration, nervous debility, the blues, sleeplessness and nervous irritability arise from some derangement of the organism which makes her a woman. Fits of depression or restlessness and irritabilitj' ; spirits easily affected, so that one minute she laughs, the next minute weeps ; pain in the abdominal region and between the shoulders; loss of voice; nervous dyspepsia; a tendency to cry at the least provocation all these point to nervous prostration. Nothing will relieve this distressing condition and prevent months of prostration and suffering- so surely as Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound. Mrs. M. E. Shot well, of 103 Flatbush Avenue, Brook lvn, N, Y,, writes: "I cannot express the wonderful relief I have experienced by taking Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound. I suffered for a long time with nervous prostration, backache, headache, loss of apjietite. I could not sleep and would walk the floor almost every night. "I had three doctors and got no better, and life was a burden. I was advised to try Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Comj)ound, and it has worked wonders for me. "I am a well woman, my nervousness is all gone and my friends say I look ten years younger." Will not the volumes of letters from women made strong by Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound convince all women of its virtues ? Surely you cannot wish to remain sick, weak and discouraged, exhausted each day, when you can be as easily cured as other women. SHADOW PICTURES Features of Maro's Great Entertainment Next Wednesday Night. Shadowgraphy is the art of making life like shadow silhouttes with the hands by projecting them on a white screen with the aid of a powerful light. Maro the magician, is probably the greatest living exponent of this art. To see Maro's shadow graphies is to see figures of real life. You see the lover serenade his weetheart and the laughable interruption by ther father; the fisherman who successfully fishes; the jockey ride the prancing steed, thee old maid puff and powder, besides animals and faces innumerable. A hundred other mirth provoking incidences all at the finger tip's of the wonderful Maro. . Popular Lecture Courseos closing number, next Wednesday night, March 28. WHITEWATER.
