Thousands-Haw Kidney' , TroobIe and Hever Suspect it How To Find Out. Fill a bottle or common glass with your heater and let it stand twenty-four hours ;
a sediment or settling indicates an unhealthy condition of the kidneys ; if it stains your linen it is evidence of kidney trouble ; too frequent deiire to pass it or pain in the back is also convincing proof that the kidm ys and bladder are out of order. "What To Do. There is comfort in the knowledge no often expressed, that Dr. Kilmer's Swamp-Root, the great kidney remedy, fulfills every wish in curing rheumatism, pain in the back, kidneys, liver, bladder and every part of the urinary passage. It corrects inability to hold water and scalding pain in passing it, or bad effects following use of liquor, wine or beer, and overcomes that unpleasant necessity of being compelled to go often during the day, and to get up many times during the night. The mild and the c?:.raordi nary effect of Swamp-Root is sc u realized. It stands the highest for it i vouderful cures of the most distressing cases. If you need a medicine you chould have the best. AT THE THEATERS
TOMORROW NIGHT THE EVER WELCOME "HOT OLD TIME" WILL BE AT GENNETT. "The Pink Hussars of His Honor the Mayor' ' Under tha Direction of W. ' C. Whitney is Coming Next Week, With Clarence Harvey at the Head of the Company. Manager Murray is Satisfied With the Patronage at His House. A most important theatrical offering this week will be the return of. the ever-welcome "A Hot Old lime," which will be seen at the Gennctt theatre on next Saturday, matinee and night. This delightful musical comedy has always scored an instantaneous and decisive hit wherever presented. It is replete with fun and music from beginning to end. It is all new and bright in every, particular. ' The company presenting "A Hot Old Time," is headed by William McRobie, whose personation of the role of " Larry Mooney," has stamped him as a comedian of convincing methods. His associates i. i ..n.. ..-ii.i.i i uue ueeii careiiiiiv iseieeieiu iui t their aptness to the various roles they impersonate. x Mr. show. F. C. Whitney's big musical now entitled "The Pink IIus-' sars of His Honor the Mayor,", .which recently finished its 200th perlormance at the Chicago Opera House, will be seen in this city at the Cennett Theatre on next Tuesday . night. "The ''Pink Hussars of His' xionor ine .uayor, is me uiggesc musical production Mr. Whitney has' ever put entour, and consists of of sixty people, with ten; artists in the cast. The monster organization is headed by the well-known comedian J. Clarence Harvey, and the Original TV Jl AC .1 t' i. English Pony Ballet. Mr. Whitney has gone to great pains in the collection of the female end of his chorus, and among them, are ; twenty-four prize beauties who command a salary of fifty dollars a week. x .... In its bright and humorous book the famous comic opera, "Robin Hood," demonstrates that modern "graft" existed in the early days of England just as it. does in the United States today. . For in the opera, "Robin Hood, "4 during the ; absence of the good King Richard of the Lion 's , Heart j Robert, Earl of-Huntington, afterwards Robin Hood, becomes of age and the sheriff of Nottingham endeavors to defraud him of ,y his rightful f estates and insttal Guy of Gisborne st in his ; place, for which the sheriff was to get one half of all the spoils. A large arid splendidly , drilled chorus of trained voices complete a singing organization of 50 people and the appearance of "Robin Hood?' in this city on next Monday night, ,. at the Gennett theatre will prove, an event worthy of the careful consideration of all local music lovers. Vaudeville at the New Phillips. "I have no reason to make any complaint," said Manager Murray of the New Phillips to the Palladium last night. "Despite the many coun ter attractions that have had to be j met this winter the New Phillips has enjoyed a liberal pati'onage and the season promises to average the best of any since I engaged in the theatrical business. This week's bill has proven pleasing and; the patronage has been quite liberal. For next week J I have lined up' a good bill and announcement of it 'will be- made in the Palladium tomorrow." THE CLOSED SEASON Duck Hunters Must Cease Sport in Indiana On April '15 Other Game Laws. The close of the duck hunting senson in Indiana, is April 15. The law. provides that, .but twenty-four, ducks may be killed by eaeh hunter, and that ducks shall not be hunted between sunset "and sunrise, and that only row or push boats shall be used in pursuit of duck's. When the duck Ji-auntmg season - closes there will be no huntable game except rabbits, and they are not very, desirable game at this season of the year. Wild turkeys, deer and pheasants are protected against hunters at all times. There ought to be no open season for game in Indiana in fact there ought not be any such word as "game" in our law. . Shame on . the man who takes a life he cannot giye and. calls it sport..

GOVERNOR HANLY WILL CONTINUE TO GO AFTER EXSTATE AUDITORS. THE WORK OF THE EXPERTS Report Will Make Some Sensational Disclosures A List of the Former Auditors Given. Indianpolis, March 15. (Special.) The committee of expert investigators that has been at work on the books of ex-State Auditor David E. Sherrick for several months is preparing to make a report. This report will be rather sensational as it will" show that something like $150,000 of fees illegally collected by former uditors are due the state. Sherrick and formpr Aaulitnr WilIiam H Hart will escape suit by the c i10Cia th iaw . .v,;i. these foes xxovo ooUeote,. was of. fective when either of these men e;nrie jnt0 office. The former a'uaitors who will be chaned with retaining thes fees i are A. C. Daily. J. O. Henderson, Brace Carr, James II. Rice, James , wildman, Eb Henderson, Edward tL Wolf, and 'M. D.' Mason. .r. Several of these men are dead Those who , have passed beyond the jurisdiction jof the COUrts are James H. Rice, M.. iD. Mason. Bruce Carr and James A. Wildman. Governor Hanly recently stated that suit would be ' brought aginst all of the former auditors now living afid that the estates of those who have died will be sued, where sufficient property is found toi sue against. Officials of the auditor's office are of the opinion that Henderson and Daily will be the , only exauditors from whom the-, state will be able to recover in the event of judgments being obtained. ' ' Fashion Caoied by Deformities. ' Of the close connection between fashIon and deformity there are many examples. Through . illness Philip the Good had to have his head shaved. Shaven heads, accordingly, perforce, became fashionable at his c.6urt. The daughters of Louis XI. hid their very large feet In long dresses; "hence trailing gowns. - The wife of Philip III. set the.fashlon of high collars In disguising her long neck with a wimple. f Henry Plantagenet Introduced boots with extravagantly curved toes to conceal a growth, on one of his feet. Louis XIV. wore a wit? to cover unsightly wens on his head, while James I. adopted voluminous trunk hose, afterward fashionable, to hide' hip disease. ; Dralses. No treatment for bruises " Is more prompt anl efficacious than fomentations as hot as can be borne. - Firm compression Immediately over the injured place will often prevent discoloration, but the hot application will have the same effect. The sooner J;the beat can be applied the better. 'Alternate applications of heat and cold are very effective. For , all" bruises, except those on the head, heat is the remedy, but for severe blows on the head cold Is doubtless better. Fomentations may be used at Intervals to lessen the soreness, but shouLLuot be continued more than five minutes ut a time. ; -t . ; Great Qrltntn. - The' island of Great Britain so called to distinguish it from Britain ''Minor, of Little Britain, In France Is the largest Island v In Europe. : Its' greatest length is COS miles and its greatest breadth 320 miles. DISFIGURING SKIN HUMOR
Impossible to Get Employment, as Face and Body Vere Covered With Itching Sores -Scratched Till Flesh Was Raw Spent Hundreds of Dollars on Doctors and Hospitals and Grew Worse CURED BY CUT1CURA IN FIVE WEEKS "Since the year 1894 I have been troubled with a very bad case of eczema which I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to cure, and I went to the hospital, but they failed to cure me and it was getting worse all the time. Five weeks ago my wife bought a box of Cuticura Ointment and one cake of Cuticura Soao. and I am pleased to say that I am now completely cured and well. "It was impossible for me to get employment, as my face, head, and body were covered with it. The eczema first appeared on the top of my head, and it had worked all the way around down the back of my neck and around to my throat, down my body and around the hips. It itched so I would be obliged to scratch it, and the flesh was raw. "I would first wash the affected parts with warm water and Cuticura Soap, and then apply Cuticura Ointment and let it remain on all night, and " in the morning I would use Cuticura Soap. I am now all well, which all my friends can testify to, and I will be pleased to recommend the Cuticura Remedies to any and all persons who wish a speedy and permanent cure of skin diseases."
