TRIED TO SOLVE PROBLEM.
Cass Andrew Jones Worked on Yer- . . . . .. -petual Motion for Tears AH in Vain. Logansport, Ind., Feb. 28. But for the death of Cass Andrew Jones friends of the family claim that the problem of perpetual motion would have been solved. Jones gave his spare time for years to working out the principle of perpetual motion, and he invented a contrivance which operated a sewing machine for three months without stopping. When his house burned down this device was destroyed. . Then he began work on a sixhorse power pepetual motor, which he had almost perfereted, so his friends claim, when he became sick .and died. For days and nights, -without sleep, and practically with but very little food, he worked in a cold room till he contracted pneumonia, which attack proved fatal. Although he left the parte of . the machinery which he had constructed,
