A man's mark Is his honor. It stands for him and he stands for it. It's the old Saxon way of signifying good intentions. The right to.be protected in the exclusive use of a trade mark has been long recognized by the common law and enforced by tha chancery courts of England and this country. The Government puts its mark on a bond to give it value. The NATIONAL BISCUIT COMPANY Puts its trade mark in red and white on each end of a package of biscuit, crackers or wafers to distinguish these products and to guarantee the quality, and it does. To mure clearly comprehend the real value of this trade mark, try packages of BUTTER THIN BISCUIT and LEMON SNAPS.

The king's answer to this-first officially, formulated disapproval is awaited wib interest.
COURT ORDERS THAT WIFE PULL IN LATCH STRING AND TIE A BIG KNOT IN IT.
s COUNT WILL NOT FILE''' -! Asserts He Is Almost, 7 Over Affair Woma Advise a Sep Paris, Febrr de Castellairi " is disconsoie'' Gould matt, friends Hfr"' fr-;" Count Boni ,ut a home. He this loss of the Julias told his inost heart hroproceedings. He continued affecatfTftnd children. lie aijSSF tribute to the wifely ;-fof hhe Countess and does not ttfd to file a cross bill. ,HAs a result of the Countess ' prima facie showing, the court has awarded her the temporaiy care of her children and a separate domicile at the Castellaine mansion on the Avenue Du Bois de Boulogne. The effect of this interlocutory order is to exclude the Count from the mansion, as the law considers it to be incompatible for two separate domiciles to exist under the same roof. The Countess remains there with the children and she expects to be joined soon by members of Howard Gould's family. The Count has had a. long conference with the lawyers of the Countess, his wife. This was one of several meetings at which the two parties concerned have carefully gone over the financial features of the case with the view of determining the exact form of the future procedure and ultimate decree. In the meantime the Countess' bill of complaint is being prepared, but not yet been filed, as the form; will depend upon the pending conferences over financial affairs. If these are satisfactorily adjusted the Countess' bill of complaint is likely to be materially modified so as to contain only incompatibility or other grounds within the statute, but avoiding allegations of a scandalous nature. However, the conferences are not for the purpose of reconciliation, as all concerned, including the Count and Countess and their lawyers, appear to recognize the futility of any further attempt to reunite the family. The present indications, therefore, are, that after the parties reach a financial understanding the bill will ie modified and a decree entered by mutual consent. This decree probably will be for a separation, as the French law permits such a decree being extended to complete divorce after three years. Thus far, however, the Countess has not decided whether the bill sail ask for a complete annulment of her mariage. Her friends are rather inclined to restrict the decree to a separation as this would prevent the remarriage of either party within three years, thus putting an end to the rumor that the Countess intended to marry again, which her friends characterize as absurd. Until the bill is finally framed and filed the courts will not fbrmally possess the document explicitly setting forth tfye grounds of the action. The preliminary plea did not enter into the merits of the case, but was a formality under the French law, whereby the wife must ask the court's permission to begin an action against her husband. In order to sustain this plea the Countess presented papers establishing a prima facia right to begin an action against her husband. These prima facie papers did not specify the names of the women in the case, but recited incidents in which the count is said to be implicated. The present negotiations tend to further eliminate these names from appearing during the official proceedings. The End of the World, of troubles that robbed E. H. Wolfe, of Bear Grove, la., of all usefulness. ame when he beran taking Electric Bitters. Washington township, including the town of Lynn in the south part of Randolph county, can no doubt lay claim to the distinction of being, as far as expressed sentiment goes at least, the driest community in the state. Some time ago after Frank Manuel had published an application for a license, to retail intoxicating liquor in he township, the .people met in the Methodist church in Lynn and made preparations for the circulation of a remonstrance against him, and the paper has been filed in the county auditor's office, with 525 bona fide signatures. There are between 600 and 700 voters in the township, so that the remonstrance came near being unanimous. HOW'S THIS.
