: BOSTON. " Rev. Crampton of Eaton, will preach at the Christian church New Years day, morning and evening. The members have hired him for the ensuing year, and he will hold services one Sunday in each month. Mr. and Mrs. John Druley entertained a number of friends to Christmas dinner last Sunday. Mr. Thomas Willis is spending a few days in Alexandria, Ind., the guest of his sister, Mrs. James Wales. Rev. Peray filled his regular appointment at the M. E. church Sunday. The members of the Christian Sunday-school gave an entertainment Christmas eve. The crowd was not so large as expected, owing to the inclemency of the weather. John Peterson's sale, last week was well attended. William Eikenberry's house is rap idly nearing completion, and is almost ready for occupancy. Charles Dils and wife are selling their household goods and contemplate going to Arkansas in the near future, to make that place their future home. Mrs. Edward Parker of near Indianapolis is spending the holidays

with her parents east of here. The Boston Township schools closed last Friday for the holidays, and will reopen again January 2. Several from this place were shopping in Richmond Saturday.

In Memory of Iroquois Victims. Chicago, 111., Dec. 30. Under the auspices of the Iroquois Memorial association will be held here this evening in memory of the five hundred victims and more of the terrible Iroquois theatre fire in this city a year ago today. Bishop Muldoom, who was personally active in giving comfort to the dying at the scene of the tragedy will be the principal speaker and among other prelates to deliver short addresses will be Rabbi Emil G. Hirsch and Bishop Aderson of the Episcopal church. The ser vices will not be denominational in character.

Boston's Tunnel Opened. Boston, Dec. 30 The East Boston tunnel under the Boston Harbor, was opened to the public for travel today by the Boston Transit commission. Governor Bates, the Mayor and heads of the state and city departments inspected the tunnel yes-terdav.
