DUBLIN.

Bishop Floyd had a family grand

children reunion Sunday.

Elizabeth Snyder who has been

here on quite a visit returned to Lo-

raine, 0., yesterday. Rev. Geo. Floyd is having a protracted meeting under way at North Salem, Henry County. Rev. Morris of the Christian church who lately moved here from Indianapolis being: present at the

East Main street U. B. church Sunday and after services Rev. Geo. Floyd invited his members forward to give a hand shake of welcome to Dublin, for Elder Morris, which was cheerfully done. The funeral of Rev. John,Cranor was held at the east Main street U. B. church Saturday at 1 :30 p. m., conducted by Bishop Floyd. The history of the deceased would doubtless be read with interest by many were it written out, but only briefly we can say that Rev. Cranor after 70 years and a few months of a varied life now sleeps in a Dublin cemetery with his en res, toils and burdens thrown aside. The funeral owing to the wet day, was not largely attended. The three Study brothers, his widow, daughter and son-in-law of Indianapolis, and a few other relatives were present. Interment in the U. B. cemetery. The M. E. church Sunday school had quite a pleasant Christmas Sun

day school entertainment in the base

ment of the church Saturday after

noon and night. A beautiful tree

was a very pleasing feature and with

a wagon load of good things would not exaggerate the amount of pres

ents given out. all of which was followed with a program of exercises bv the school. The entertainment

closed late Saturday night. As usual

Santa Clans was the welcome guest for the occasion and awakened an up to date amount of Christmas glee

and good feeling.

Mrs. "W. Baker, living on Johnson

street, had an operation last' Thurs

day for some obstruction of the stomach and bowels and for a day or so it looked as if the operation was a success, but the latest phase is quite different.

It is onr business to loan money in ny amount from $1 to f CCCO on any kind of security, for any length of time. Having a large cap ital of oar own money, we do not need to ask anyone as to wden o how we shall loan it, but we can do so on any terms and for any length of time we desire. Eighteen years banking experience renders us capable of giving jou almost animznediate answer as to whether or not we can make you a loan. We seldom feel the necessity of any inquiry at all. but when it is made, it is invariably made as a bank. By securing a loan in this manner, you do not have the annoyance of youf neighbors knowing that you are borrowing money, but can be 6ure of absolute secrecy in the matter. Our large capital enables us to loan at a much lower rate than that usually chargtd by loan companies, and you know it is to your interest to get a loan wherever you can get it the cheapest, the same as in buying anything. For instance, L there is a -snle on granulated sugar, where" you can buy 21 lbs for a dollar instead of 18 lbs regular, there is where you buy your sugar. Why not be just as careful about saving money when you are in need of a temporary loan ? If we get our money out, tbo prfCO mast bring tbo business, so if you get a loan from us, it will prove a great money saver to you. Call and let us tzplain out methods. If you cannot call, write or phone us, and our agent will call on you.
