The Indianapolis lineup was a very mixed up affair. Moran was forced to leave the game on account of a skate. His place was taken by Coggshall. McGilvarv then went to center and Sammy Sampsell, the amateur boy here, who has made srood several times before, went to second rush. Sammy succeeded in caging one of the goals in the third period. The game any wav. was not sensational in Soldiers Out of Work Re-Enlisting. London. Dec. 21. In consequence of the extreme difficulty of getting work, many soldiers who have been making constant application for relief at the War Office, are re-enlisting under Section "D" of the Armyreserve. Only men discharged during the past two years are allowed to re-enter the army, and large numbers are taking advantage of this opportunity daily in order to secure for themselves protection from the severe weather. Mrs. Tobias Murray visited in Lewisville Sunday. The Evangelical Sunday school will give the Christmas cantata entitled: "Santa Clans and the Star Queen," also a fine musical program by the choir. BRITT WAS BADLY CUT And the Fight Was Given to Him on A Decision Was Not Very Bloody. (Special to the Palladium.) San Francisco, December 20. Jimmy Britt won from Patteling Nelson in the twentieth round here toniuht. The tight was given to Britt on a decision as the clever little fellow clearly out boxed Nelson from the start. The fight was not a very bloody one, although Britt received a number of bad cuts on the face. The men were at it hammer and tongs from start to linish and both of them were still going at a good rate of speed when the gong sounded on the twentieth round. Miss (Hover is wellknown in "Washington society in which she has been a great favorite during the past few seasons. She is the daughter of Charles A. Clover, president of the Piggs National Bank. Mr. Swinderen is also popu lar not only in society but among the. diplomatic corps.
