NEW CABINET i Has Been Picked By President Roosevelt. Washington, Dec. 18. Speculation as to the personnel of the cabinet after March 4, 1905, may now cease, for the president has picked the nine men who will constitute his official family when his new term begins. The list is as follows: John Hay, of the District of Columbia, Secretary of State. . Leslie M. Shaw, of Iowa, Secretary of the Treasury. Wm. II. Taft, of Ohio, Secretary of War. Wm. H. Moody, of Massachusetts, Attorney-General. George B. Cortelyou, of New York, Postmaster-General. Paul Mortor;, of Illinois, Secretary of the Navy. Ethan Allen Hitchcock, of Missouri, Secretary of the Interior. James Wilson, of Iowa, Secretary of Agriculture. Victor II. Metcalf, of California, Secretary of Commerce and Labor. Eight of these men are in the cabinet, and Mr. Cortelyou is the only man who will come in later. He is now closing up the post-campaign work of the Republican National committee and giving some attention to the plans for the inauguration. In a few weeks he will take a well-earned vacation, and upon his return to Washington will be prepared to itake Postmaster-General Wynne's place
the cabinet. Mr. Wynne, as has
in
been announced before, will be given a position in the diplomatic or con
sular service.

It is our business to loan money in ny amount from $1 to 5000 on any kind of security, for any length of time. Having a large ca? ltal of our own money, we do not need to ask anyone as to wden o how we shall loan it, but we can do so on any terms and for any length of time we desire. Eighteen years banking experience renders us capable of giving 5 ou almost an immediate arswer as to whether or not we can make you a loan. We seldom feel the necessity of any inquiry at all. but when it is made, it is invariably made as a bank. By securing a loan in this manner, you do not have the annoyance of your neighbors knowing that you are borrowing money, but can be sure of absolute secrecy in the matter. Our large capital enables us to loan at a much lower rate than that usually chargtd by loan companies, and yon know it is to your interest to get a loan wherever you can get it the cheapest, the same as in buying anything. For instance, H there is a sle on granulated sugar, where you can buy 21 lbs for a dollar instead of 18 lbs regular, there is where you buy your 6Ugar. Why not be just as careful about saving money when you are in need of a temporary loan ? If we get our money out, the price mast bring the business, so if yon get a loan from us, it will piove a great money saver to you. Call and let us explain our methods. If you cannot call, write or phone us, and our agent will call on you.
