SECOND CHADMCI! Woman of Many Aliases Said to Have Operated Several Years. Pittsburg, Pa., December IS. If the charges lodged against the fashionably attired woman at the North Side Central police station last night are true, there are certain characteristics present in this newly discovered alleged financier much like those of Mrs. Cassie L. Chadwick. According to a statement made by Alderman Charles C. McGovern, who issued the warrant upon which the woman was arrested, she has been operating in the two cities for so long that many of the charges which have been preferred against her have long since been outlawed. Marie Smith is the name under which she was arrested, but it is said that there are a string of aliases -by which she is lnown lenthier than the title of a Russian princess. Her residences during the time she is alleged to' have been operating - are greater in number "even than her

aliases. Her most recent abode has been in Penn street, Allegheny. Constable Turell found her there last

evening.

The specific charge against her is

that preferred by Fred Zeigler, of Allegheny, who alleges that she secured a sum of money from him upon the representation that she had excellent dividend-paving invest

ments, which she offered as security. Zeigler later concluded that his se

curity was not gilt edged and pre

ferred the charge.

In the office of Alderman McGov

ern are warrants awaiting service

which charge larceny, larceny by bailee, shoplifting and felonious cutting. The alderman said he had one warrant issued upon information made by J. A. Elliott & Co., Liberty street furniture dealers, which charges that the woman secured $200 worth of household goods without paying for them and then moved away.

Are Having a Hard Time in Polo

Towns Shows Disbanded.

Polo seems to have played havoc

with theatrical matters in Indiana

this year. A number of shows have

broken in various towns where the

roller skate game is played, and the

patronage of the theaters in all of

these towns is very small. During

the last week two companies have

broken up in polo towns. The "Big

Sensation" company, which was to

have played here this evening, broke

ud in Hartford City and another

company called "Looping . the Loop," came very near looping the last loop at Marion on Friday night.

As it was about half of the production did leave the loop, but the other

! half managed to stick It all resulted

from the actors and actresses not re

ceiving the salary and the fact that

the show had too many managers,
