ness the work, of some of the athletic branches of the school. The gymnasium class, under the leadership of Orville Brunson, first gave an exhibition of their work. All of the boys did very well and one or two of them were fine. The class went through a number of difficult movements and they received a generous amount of applause for their work. Phillip Starr, perhaps did the best individual work of the class. Although he is just a youngster, he showed that training was all he needed to make him a good athlete. After the gymnasium class a very good exhibition of basketball was given by the first and second teams of the school. The first team put up a very clever exhibition of team work and completely overwhelmed their lighter opponents. After the basket
ball game a lightning fast game of
polo was given by two picked school teams. A number, of the boys on skates showed that some time they would be worthy to play with the
best of teams in that now popular
game. The boys' lockers in the gymnasium are not quite finished, but it is thought they will be ready for use in the near future. The following rules have been adopted in regard to the use of the lockers: 1. A deposit of twenty-five cents will be required for the use of each locker. Keys to lockers must be returned at the close of school, or sooner,, if the holder ceases to use the gymnasium. Fifteen cents of the deposit will be repaid when the key is returned. 2. Each locker will be charged to some one person. In case the key is forgotten or mislaid, it will be op
ened for no other person. Hence, anyone using another's locker may find himself unable to get into it some time when he very much desires to do so. Each person using the gymnasium should rent a locker for himself.
FALSE REPORT Published in the Evening Papers of i Yesterday. Manager M. C. Henley of the local polo team denied the statement which was published in a local afternoon paper last evening, stating that Bone, Wodtke, Farrell, Lyons and Bannon were to form a team which would be managed by Joe Fox and play in Indianapolis. Mr. Henley stated that there was not a word of truth in it and that the entire statement was false. Mr. Henley refused to state just what action was taken by the magnates at the meeting held at Anderson yesterday afternoon. It could not be learned what was done in regard to the proposed polo war between the Western and Central Leagues.
