POLO NOTES The Muncie Star printed the fol lowing in its account of the MuncieRichmond game Monday night at Muncie : Fans who expected to see a riproaring, wearing, tearing game oi rough and tumble polo because Richmond was here last evening, were disappointed. It was all a big fizzle, The score was 7 to 5 in favor of Muncie and at times the ten men played like "bloomer girls." Once in a while Bobby Hart did something startling or Charley Farrell cleverlv iusrsrled the ball to and fro, but the interesting features of the game were few and far between, even though during the first part there was promise of some scrappy play. At the end of the first period Muncie led the Quakers 3 to 1. The Anderson man said that the only thing Barnes hesi tated about entering the parent lea gue for was because he believed that his team was too weak for the com pany it would have to travel with. The same authority said that Presi dent Norton had assured Barnes that the Western League would strengthen his team and that it is now a nearly even bet tnat ivokomo win De added to the circuit. In case Barnes does "jump the Central League it will be the signal for the opening of hostilities and the polo war will be on.
