"Arizona." The following pleasant episode happened during "Arizona's" run in London, last season. The King and Queen, Princess Vic toria and the Prince and Princess Charles of Denmark attended the per formance on the second Monday of its performance. At the conclusion of the play, there was a pleasant little ceremony; Bonita, the leading lady of the piece was summoned to the royal box, where she presented to' the Queen a beautiful bouquet composed of lillies of the valley, white orchids and white heather, bound with a ribbon in red, white and blue stripes, the American colors. The bouquet was presented on behalf of the American company playing "Arizona" and Her Majesty expressed her pleasure in accepting it, and said the play was "charming." His Majesty said to Bonita, "It is a splendid play; well acted; I enjoyed it very much." Their majesties shook hands with the young actress, who was overwhelmed at their graciousness. On the preceding evening, the Prince and Princess of Wales witnessed "Arizona." In presenting the bouquet, Bonita said:" I wish the fragrance of these flowers could convey to your majesties the deep love and respect felt for you by the American people." The King smiled and remarked, "Very pretty, very pretty." "Arizona" will be seen at the Gennett Theatre, for one performance on Monday evening, Dec. 5th. "The Pit." Almost, if not quite as much interest is being manifested by the ladies in the New York fashion show gowns worn in the production of "The Pit." which comes to the Gennett Theatre, Tuesday evening, December 6th as in the play itself. The seven gowns that took first prize at the fashion show are worn in the first act of the play by artists' models, whose figures display the dressmaker's creations to the best advantage. These prize gowns are described as follows: "A Paquin creation of bluish print mousseline de soie, princess effect, solidly shirred from bodice to hips. On the shirt three rows of circular shirring alternate with festoons of Alecin lace. A hand embroidered rose-leaf vine follows the curves of the figure gracefully. The sleeves are gathered frills of lace caught high on the shoulders with k pink rosebuds. Dresden blue silk with trailing hand-painted apple blossoms in brocade design. Bodice of blouse effect with yoke of real lace. Soft crushe girdle of chiffon velour encircling the waist and full skirt trimmed with arrow ruchings and medallions of lace. A combination of hand embroidered white chiffon and taffeta silk the narrow back ruchings. Shirt of white taffeta silk with plaited front panel. Over this circular flounces of embroidered chif fon. White broadcloth trimmed with Cluny lace and moelskin, made with short semi-fitting coat and military sleeves, strapped with heavy silk cord. The lower part of the skirt is made with folds and trimmed with alternate rows of shirring and plaits with two wide bands of Irish point lace at the bottom. Plaited girdle of soft gay liberty satin. A simple gown of white Louisine with bodice of Vonice lace, fitted snugly to the figure and extending in a panel down the front of the skirt, ending in a frou-frou flounce about twelve inches deep. Black renaissance lace over a foundation white liberty satin and chiffon. Jet gown clings closely to the figure, flaring gracefully at the bottom." "When Women Lore." As long as the world goes round there will be conspiracies against goodness and virtue. In the play "When Women Love," there is a sto ry of heart interest that commends more than ordinary interest. A young girl weighted with the care of an invalid mother and younger sister, struggles against poverty and privation, is accused of crime, a man made in the same old image persecutes, accuses, and in the end finds the old adage is only too true. "The wages of Sin is Death." The play is presented by a strong company, and the entire production is carried including some of the best scenie effects ever shown on the popular priced stage. The first act is set with a factory scene that weighs two tons and is one of the greatest scenes ever presented. The Edwin Young Stock Company Will make its initial appearance at the New Phillips Theatre on December 8th, opening a two nights engage ment in the charming comedy drama "Indiana Folks" The company

brings a good record from 'their Eas

tern engagements and will no doubt

esatblish themselves as genuine fa

vorites. One of the features of the company's entertainments js the excellent specialties introduced at every performance. Little Edna and Master Bobbie Young, aged seven and five years respectively, are an

exceedingly clever pair of Juvenile entertainers, and their singing is sure to prove a rare treat. These clever children have important parts

in the feature bill, "Indiana Folks" which will be the offering the second night of the current engagement.

Prices 10, 20 and 30 cents. This is

the same company that so successful

ly presented "A Little " at

HERE'S WHAT'S WANTED.

A Citizen of Richmond Supplies the Information. Over half the complaints of mankind originate with the kidneys. A slight touch of backache at first, Twinges and shooting pains in the loins follow. They must be checked. They lead to graver complications. The sufferer seeks relief. Plasters are tried, and liniments for the back. So-called kidney cures which do not cure. The long-looked-for result seems unattainable. If you suffer, do you want relief? Follow the plan adopted by this Richmond citizen. Martin Bulach, tailor, 101 West Second street, says: "I was subject to aching pains through my loins and in my kidneys with a tendency of the muscles to tire quickly. The kidney secretions were frequent, scanty and annoying. I was advised to try Doan's Kidney Pills and got a box at A. G. Luken's drug store. I took but a few doses when I felt their beneficial effects and in a short time my back felt all right. I can recommend Doan's Kidney Pills very highly to anyone suffering from their kidneys." For sale by all dealers. Price 50 cents. Foster-Milburn Co., Buffalo, N. Y., sole agents for the United States. Remember the name, Doan's and take no substitute.

There is one rational way to treat nasal catarrh; the medicine is applied direct to the affefcted membrane. The remedy is Ely's Cream Balm. It restores the inflamed tissues to a healthy state without drying all the life out of them and it gives back the lost senses of taste and smell. The sufferer who is tired of vain experiments should use Cream Balm. Druggists sell it for 50 cents. Ely Brothers, 56 Warren street, New York, will mail it.
