Indianapolis, Dec. 4. The Indi
anapolis city library and the Indiana
State library have come into posses
sion of a great bundle of old newspapers, a miscellaneous assortment that
had been treasured for many years
by Isaac Julian, formerly of Conners
ville, Ind., now of San Marec, Tex. These treasures were equally divided by the two libraries. Some of them
were published in the early '20 's,
and with the exception of the Rich
mond Palladium, even their very
names have gone from the memory
of men.
Among the oldest of them in the
lot that came to the city library is "The National Crisis," 1S32, published at Cincinnati. Some of them have titles as long as an ox-goad,
such as "The Cincinnati Republican and Commercial Register." 1836,
which proclaimed itself as uncompro

Ohio Political and Commercial Reg
ister (1832): the Liberty Hall and
Cincinnati Gazette (1835); the Sen
tinel and Star of the West, Cincin

Besides these there are old Jour-
