' Too ranch Quaker, ' " Too much Quaker," were 'the words that best expressed the 1 thoughts' of Manager Colion after he saw liis team defeated for the fifth fiinc ' this 'season without one winning; same, to redeem it. The -Richmond, Champions turned the trick tonight arid brought the, Indians down to tlie tunc of 4 to 1. The fans could not sed inueh difference between the. playing of the Quakers ' in the" game tonight and the - playing last season and a good many of them arc wondering how Muncie happened to pile up 12 goals. "Kid'''Haughton did all in his power to defeat his 'old teammates but one man can not win a polo game. - half he went on the ruh line and his I place was taken by Coggshall, who played the best game lie has played this season. Li the first period Bone was ordered from the lloor ,by Referee Latham and this left Richmond without its star rush, but they won anyway. Referee Latham had called a foul on Monsfield and Bone .objected to it and he was immediately ordered from the floor. Cunningham, jr., took his place as first rush and Cunningham, sr., went to second rush. In the first-, period Richmond had an in and out goal. Indiapaolis played a very good game in the first two periods, but in the third they were all corked and some of them were unable to move around. Tt was clear that McGilvary was in no condition to play, although he made the only goal made by Indianapolis. The bull dog tendency of Richmond in holding on and rushing the Indians oil their feet is what won the game and they were too stiff a proposition. It. looked in the first two periods to be a toss "up between the two teams, but in the Jhird Indianapolis went down and out. ? The lineup : Indianapolis Richmond . ... . . Bone Cunningham . . Ryan and Root to Try Conclusions. Philadelphia, Pa., Nov. 23. -Tommy Ryan and Jack Root will settle their differences in the fistic arena here tonight befor e' the National Ath Ietic Club. The men will fight six rounds for the middle-weight championship, which is held by Ryan. There are those who claim that the fact that the bout is to take place in this city will detract from its interest, alleging that it is purely a money-making affair, but there seems no doubt that the fight will be witnessed by a goodly number of sportsmen, many of them from New York and other cities. In their only previous encounter the men fought six rounds in Chicago there being no decision. Jack McGuigan will referee the contest.
