Do you know a tomato when you sec one? Yes, when it is outside a bottle of catsup. Most "tomato" catsup is colored with aniline dye, or other artificial coloring matter. Columbia, "The Uncolorcd Catsup," contains only the red of the perfectly ripe tomato. Lonesome business, but pure catsup. COLUMBIA CONSERVE COMPANY. INDIANAPOLIS, IND.

MILTON.
lhe iew Ingerman Hotel served a fine dinner Sunday. Sunday dinners are to be their specialty. There were several dinner parties there.
Kev. G. Jensen is holding a series of meetings at Doddridge Chapel. The M. E. church ladies will give their annual turkey dinner Thanksgiving; day. They have a great reputation for the quantity and quality of the feast. Edgar T. Forsyth was the guest of C. H. Callaway Sunday.
A drunken man smashed near $18 worth of lighting apparatus last week at the stave mill. Walter Jennings was doing the Fair at St. Louis last week. Mr. Busby of Indianapolis had charge of his interests here in his absence. The Union Thanksgiving sermon will be preached at the Christian church Thursday night by Rev. G. Jensen, pastor of the M. E. church. Be sure to attend and hear a good sermon. Chris Slonaker has advertised for liquor license. It is probable that the people Avill remonstrate against its granting, as the anti-saloon feeling is growing fast. Kichard Sills was at his farm near Gaston last week. Rev. W. F. Sherer formerly of this place is doing successful evangelistic work at Marion, Illinois. He has associated with him as a soloist Orville Harold, the Muneie tenor whose voice so delighted Madame Shnmann Heink on her recent American tour. Oscar Kerlin has taken a position in The Farmers Bank. Volney Thomas visited "Walter Benner at Cnmpbellstown, O., overSunday. Farmers report better crops of corn than was predicted late in summer. Miss lone Summers Mora left last week for Greensboro, North Carolina, where her husband has a position as teacher of piano in a college. Rev. J. Jensen had five sermons Sunday. The morning text was "In the day of prosperity be joyful, In the day of adversity consider." The evening sermon was on, "No man careth for my soul." and was applied to the temperance movement in this township. Catherine Winter died Sunday evening at 9:30, aged about SO years. She was a native of Germany but had lived here near fifty years. She was a member of the Methodist church and her pastor, Rev. G. Jensen, will conduct the funeral service at h'er'horae at 2 p. m. Thursday burial at West Side. She had a brother, who died many years ago, Henry Winter, with whom she made
her home. For many years she has lived alone. No relatives live near here. A niece lives in Elkhart, Ind., and others in New York City; other kinsmen are in Oklahoma and in Germany. Mr. E. W. Beeson will have charge of her affairs. Mr. and Mrs. II. L. Hurst entertained a dinner party Sunday at "Hillhurst" in honor of Mrs. Hursts' sister, Miss Dora Commons, of Tennessee. The guests were Messrs and'Mesdames J. O. Bragg, E. P. Jones and R. F. Callaway and Vernie Bragg.

What The Earth Produces. The earth has nourished us through unknown ages of human existence. Is it not true that the earth supplies us with everything that we really require for existence ? Have yon ever thought that it is probable that the earth supplies ns with the means to keep oar bodily vigor, our health, if we only knew U? The animals know by instinct what is good for them and will search until they find in some plant what they need for correcting indigestion or constipation, etc. Is it, therefore, not possible that there are roots and herbs supplied by nature which will cure the diseases that afflict human kind ? That is why Dr. Pierce, "of Buffalo, N. Y., has such faith in his "Medical Discovery." Years ago, when he was in general and active practice, he found that a combination of certain herbs and roots made into an alterative extract, without the nse of alcohol, would always put the stomach into a healthy condition, nourish the tissues, feed the blood and nerves and put healthy tone into the whole system. Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery restores the lost flesh by curing diseases of
U( siomaca ana oiner organs 01 aijfesuou and nutrition and enabling the perfect digestion and assimilation of food from which flesh and strength are made. I was all ran down, very nervous, and tutfered terribly from stomach trouble, which the doctors pronounced indigestion," writes Mrs. Win. Morey,. of Marshall, Mich. "I doctored for a year without permanent relief. Was advised by a friend to trv Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery, and after the use of nine bottles I was cured. I can heartily recommend the 'Golden Medical Discovery to any one suffering from stomach trouble. My husband was also greatly benefited by its use." To gain knowledge of your own body in sickness and health send for the People's Common Sense Medical Adviser. A book of 1008 pages. Send 21 cents in stamps for Eaper-covered, or, 31 stamps for clothound copy. Address Dr. R. V. Pierce, 663 Main Street, Buffalo, N. Y. .
