PR ICE OF TURKEYS
Soaring High Tor This Thanksgiving. ADVANCE IN TURKEYS
1890 From 14 to 15 cents. 1900 From 15 to 1G cents. 1901 From 16 to 18 cents. 1902 From 22 to 23 cents. 1903 From 24 to 28 cents. 1904 From 25 to 35 cents.
New York, Nov. 20. With the Thanksgiving proclamations and fall in temperature turkeys are coming to the front of the market with an advance in price and promise of a greater -rise before Thanksgiving1 day Yesterday the dealers were paying from20 to 25 cents a pound for fresh killed turkeys, and were selling them at from 25 to 30 cents, and in some instanced at 35 cents for fancy specimens. These figures are an advance of from 2 to 4 cents over those of a year ago, when prices were high. There has been a steady advance for live years. The fowls are coming to mai'ket in comparatively small quantities and the average quality promise improvement before the close of this week, but there is likely to be an increase rather than a decrease in the price. Word comes from the rural sections of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and the New England states that in many places the farmers have formed a turkey trust and that in nearly all localities there is an agreement to hold the supply for an advance in price. Last week the farmers wei-e getting from 39 to 22 cents, and hoav they are getting from 23 to 24 cents Avith an expected raise to 30 cents before another week. "We can make no contracts for future delivery after the present supply is exhausted," said a dealer in Washington market, yesterday, ''because we don't know what they are going to cost us." Turkey sales yesterday were small while there was a good demand for chickens, with a wholesale advance of ono-lialf cents, dealers paying 11 cents for heavy fancy western varieties. The venison season closed yesterday. Dealers will have until next Sunday lo effect clearances.

Chamberlain's Cough Remedy is Pleasant to Take. The finest quality of granulated loaf sugar is used in the manufacture of Chamberlain's Cough Remedy and the roots used in its preparation give it a flavor similar to maple syrup, making it quite pleasant to take. Mr. W. L. Roderick, of Poolesville, Md., in speaking of this remedy says: "I have used Chamberlain's Cough Remedy with my childen for several years and can truthfully say it is the best preparation of the kind I know of. The children like to take it and it has no injurious after effect. For sale by A. G. Luken & Co., and W. II. Sudhoff, Fifth and Main streets.
Convulsion, FitS, then Epilepsy. Dr. Miles' Restorative Nervine has been so successful in curing these brain-wrecking diseases that there is . every reason to believe that even the most hopeless cases can be benefited, if not fully restored. We will be pleased to refer any one thus afflicted to many who now enjoy the blessing of health, after years of hopeless suffering. "I have a son that had brain fever when two year old, followed by fits of the worst type, and he was pronounced incurable. 1 spent hundreds of dollars for him. -without relief. After about fifteen years he became so bad that we sent him to Longclift hospital for the Insane, at Loeansport. Ind. He was there nearly three years, but he continued to grow worse, so we brought him home July 30, 1902, In an awful condition. He had lost his mind almost entirely. He hardly knew one of the family; could not even find his bed; was a total wreck. He had from 5 to 10 fit a day. We were urged to try Dr. Miles' Nervine, and before the first bottle was used, we could see a change for the better. We have given it to him ever since, and he has had but two very light spells since last August, 1903, and then he was not well other ways. We pronounce him cured, as he can work and go anywhere. If any one wishes to ask any questions concerning this, they are at liberty to do so." E. II. BUNNELL, Lincoln. Ind. Dr. Miles' Nervine Is sold by your druggist, who will guarantee that the first bottle will bepefit. If it fails, he will refund your money. Miles Medical Co., Elkhart, Ind
