sinn -TORTURED BABIES And Tired, Fretted Mothers Find Comfort in Cuticura Soap and Ointment
Vhen Ail Other Remedies and Physicians Fail. Instant relief and refreshing sleep for skin-tortured babies and rest for tired, worried mothers in warm baths with Cuticura Soap, and gentle anointings with Cuticura Ointment, purest of emollient skin cures, to be followed in severe cases by mild doses of Cuticura Resolvent Pills. This is the purest, sweetest, most speedy, permanent and economical treatment for torturing, disfiguring, itching, burning, bleedingscaly, crusted and pimply skin and scaly humours, with loss of hair, of infants and children, as well as adults, and is sure to succeed when all other remedies and the best physicians fail. The agonizing itching and burning of the skin, as in eczema; the frightful scaling, as in psoriasis; the loss of hair and crusting of the scalp, as in scalled head; the facial disfigurement, as in pimples and ringworm; the awful suffering of infants, and anxiety of wornout parents, as in milk crust, tetter and salt rheum, all demand a remedy of almost superhuman virtues to successfully cone with them. That Cuticura Soap, Ointment and Pills are such stands proven hoyoud nil doubt. No statement Is made regarding them that is not justified by the strongest evidence. The purity and sweetness, the power to afford immediate relief, the certainty of speedy and permanent cure, the absolute safety and great economy have made them the standard skin cures and humour remedies of the civilized world. TRAPPED UPON WAS THE EAELHAM TEAM YESTERDAY AFTERNOON BY CITY ELEVEN. PEACOCK AIID UIITHM Crumbled the Quaker Line Into Small Bits Score 0 to t. Eleven old football players residing in the city appeared on Reid Field yesterday afternoon in nondescript uniforms and without signals. Several of these men had not touched a football in four years. Their physical condition is the best described by the word " mushy.' ' Notwithstanding the above mentioned handicaps this eleven of football relics made the Earlham Varsity, who have been training since the middle of September, look like a collection of rag stuffed dolls. The score at the conclusion of the two ten minute halves was 0 to 0 and the Quakers by the closest shave escaped being scored on. In the last minute of play Peacock crossed the Earlham goal line, but Laurence of Earlham secured the ball on a fumble and carried it out of danger as the whistle blew. In the first half the City boys worked the ball to the Earlham ten yard line where it was fumbled. The Quakers Avere unable to pass the City defense and were forced to punt. The next time the varsity secured the ball they were held for downs and again little Laurence was forced to punt. Not once in the, two halves was the City team held for downs. In the sec ond half the contest was fought on Earlham territory and the two times Earlham had the ball they were held for downs. Peacock, Unthank, Wil son and Doan, the City back field, disappointing to the Earlham stuQuaker ends for long gains and going through the line at will. Pea cock in this half crossed Earlham 's goal, but fumbled the ball. Every man on the City 'team played giltedged, hard aggressive football, although there was considerable fumb ling owing to the fact that the signals were Greek to a majority of the players. With but one day left before the big Wabash game the showing of the varsitv was sorelv from them the secondary championdents and particularly to Coach Stanley. The Quakers seemed to suffer from a severe case of stage fright at the slap bang tactics of the City men and it is the concensus of opinion that, if Earlham expects to make a showing against Wabash a large quantity of ginger and "nev-er-say-die" spirit will have to be assimilated in this afternoon's practice. Captain Kaufman of the City team said: "We were surprised at our showing, but we hope we did the varsity good and we will be on hand to help 'root' them to victory on Saturday." RESPECTS QUAKERS Crawfordsville, Ind., October 27. Coach Cayou is having his hands full this week whipping the Wabash eleven into shape for the game with Earlham Saturday. The task is ail he harder on account of the team's inactivity following the Purdue game. The men. are in good physical con dition, however, and should bo in good shape by Saturday. After the surprise party to which Earlham treated Wabash last year, wresting fro mthem the secondary championship after they seemed to have it well in hand, the Presby teriar.s have a wholesome respect for . Quakers. While Wabash expects io win she will be content with a moderate score for Coach Cayou i-s desi ious of saving his men as much r-s possible for the game with Indiana University here on November 4. This will be the event of the year here in football circles, and the sup porters of the scarlet will he sorely disappointed it abash does not make as good a showing or. even better than she did against Not re Dame and Purdue. The Wabash alumni in Indianapolis have chartered a special car and will bring over a delegation ot about one hundred lor ibat srame.
