Russet, golden brown, all shades
of green, dark red and olive are used for school gowns and furnish a welcome change from the regulation navy blue sailor suits. Nothing else is likely to. succeed in entirely driving these marine blue suits, but the variety is quite welcome.
Scottish tweeds with dashes of to
mato red or a line of pale green,
crimson or ffoltlen yellow make ser
viceable school frocks. The dash of bright colors furnishes

The tweed dress is siraly made, and mark the division of the breadths or srores of the weight of the garment. The skirt should not be lined, but either hemmed up or faced. If a separate coat be worn the blouse matches the skirt. But it is more likely that the coat and skirt will match, and then the soft comfortable blouse worn beneath may, be of wash flannel in some pretty shade. Little girls of 4 or 0 often wear one-piece suits with the box front, r front of three bof-plaits, and a belt around the waist. Another model is the suspender skirt, with wide bretelles crossing the shoulders and joined' to a rather high srirdle of the same material as the kilted skirt. Scottish tartans make a good material for this model and many a suspender skirt suit is seen jn the shops tM autumn, ;
fl DAY THEY HAVE What This Richmond Citizen Says Only Corroborates the Testimony of Thousands. The particulars related by this representative citizen of Richmond are similar to hundreds of others in this city. When there are scores of people all anxious to tell about the benefits received from use of Doan's Kidney Pills, the greatest skeptic in Richmond must be convinced. Read the following: Ed Gausepohl of 249 south fourth street, employed at the Richmond Casket company saj-s: ''For a long time I was troubled with weakness of the kidneys, the muscles of my back being so sore and lame that I could hardly get about. This was principally noticed in the mornings when first
getting up. I saw Doan's Kidney
Pills advertised and got a box at A. G. Luken's drug store and began us
ing them. The relief I obtained from
them was prompt and most satisfac
tory."

There is more Catarrh in this section of the country than all other diseases put together, and until the la?t feAy years was supposed to be incurable. For a great many years doctors pronounced it a local disease and prescribed local remedies, and by constantly failing to cure with
