The scenery is of a most elaborate and highly realistic character. One scene, that f a terrible snow storm, is declared by experts to lie unsurpassed in its intensity and fidelit v to nature. The greater part of those results are said to be due to the experienced hand of Mr. Joseph R. Grismer, under whose personal direction the piece is produced. "Way Down East" has the endorsement of every class of theatregoers, critics, and clergymen, professional people and "first-nighters," and all unite in its praise. Its production will undoubtedly prove one of the chief events of the local dramatic season.
