ture is printed above, and Miss Claussen, prove beyond question that thousands of cases of inflammation of the ovaries and womb are annually cured by the use of Lydia E Pinkham's Vegetable Compound "DEAtt Mrs. Pintkitam: Gradual loss of strength and nerve force told me something was radically wrong with me. I had severe shooting pains throught the jielvic organs, cramps and extreme irritation compelled me to seek medical advice. The doctor said that I had ovarian trouble and ulceration, and advised an operation. I strongly objected to this and decided to try Lydia JE. Finkham's Vegetable Compound. I soon found that my judgment was correct, and that all the good things said about this medicine were true, and day by day I felt less pain and increased appetite. The ulceration soon healed, and the other complications disappeared and in eleven weeks I was once more strong and vigorous and perfectly well. "My heartiest thanks are sent to you for the great good you have done me." Sincerely yours, Miss Margaret Merkley, 275 Third St, I.Milwaukee, "Wis. t

"Dear Mrs. Pinkiiam: It seems to me that all the endorsements that I have read of the value of Lydia E. Pinkhani's Compound do not express one-half of the virtue the great medicine really possesses. I know that it saved my life and I want to give the credit where it belongs. I suffered with ovarian trouble for five years, had three operations and spent hundreds of dollars on doctors and medicines but this did not cure me after all. " However, what doctors and medicines failed to do, Liydia K. Pinkliam's Vegetable Compound did. Twenty bottles restored me to perfect health and I feel sure that had I known of its value before, and let the doctors alone, I would

CONTRACTS NOT A RICHMOND PLAYER HAS YET COME TO TERMS THE SAME LINEUP However For the Coming Polo Season Ls Predicated by Secretary Gaar. MANSFIELD IS LOOKED FOR Tom Fisher Returns From New England With Signed Contracts. In loss than a month the Western League polo season opens and up to the present time not a player on the claim list of the Jiichinoml polo team has sirnetl a contract thougli they have each been forwarded one. President Henly of the local club is now in Michigan and this morning Secretary (iaar in sizing up the situation predicted that Kichmond fans would see the same line up this season as the one that won the championship last season notwithstanding the fact that to a man they refuse to accept a cut in salaries. Just how this miracle is to be accomplished is for the fans to ponder over. Ado Mansfield, like Bob Fitzsim111011s, retired from active participation in sporting life at the end o last season but it is more than even money that the Kichmond boy Avill emerge from the wilds of his Missouri retreat at the first whiff he gets of the chalked floor and will be there with the ''big stick" and aggressive play the same as of yore. As is well known when the present salary limit was adopted by the Western I'olo magnates, Messrs. lienley and Fisher strenuously objected, favoring a $300 a month limit. The bugaboo of a Xew England League, a players' -.strike and two such influential enemies of the present salary limit as Messrs. Henley and' Fish er is liable to change the present order of tilings within the next ten days. It is to be hoped so at least. It is time for several short skate man agers to loosen up. Polo fans have seen the best there is in a polo line and if they attempt to give an inferI lor rticie it will not remure neld glasses to see the finish of the game in Indiana. Tom Fisher of Anderson has just returned from a trip through Xew England and he takes a more optomistic viow of the outlook. In an interview iii the Anderson Herald he has the following to sav: It is i lic pojuil.ir opinion among j most of the playt vs a;n! porting men in the Kast, that eery player Avill finally accept the terms of the WestniMi 1 .i'HViiv ri-innoo ai'i' t 1 . .1 . 1 r 1 1 - ! with Tim Murane, of the Boston Mlobe, a few days ago and he told me polo players were getting more in the Western League than they ever dreamed of getting in the East. He says their limit was $o0 and with the reduction for this year the salaries will still be high. Murane says that rxam4aSe EsastdwandaUuUn'ose arr Parsons or no. other Eastern man is thinking about a league in Xew England this season. Strikes there have made times dull, and the sport would not thrive under such conditions. Murane stated that it was his opinion that every player would be in the West again this winter."' The local management has no definite plans, in even that Mercer refuses to sign. They will not go over the limit, they say. and some extra man from another team may be purchased. Mr. Fisher will have charge of the rink this winter, but has no plans so far ahead as next summer. Better Than PiHo i -uu aft The question' has hoen asked In what way are Chamberlain's Stomach and Liver Tablets superior to the ordinary cathartic and liver pills? Our answer is They are easier and more pleasant to take and their effect is so pintle and so agreable that one hardly realizes that it is produced by a medicine. They not only move the bowels but improve the appetite and aid the digestion. For sale at 25 cents per bottle by A. G. Luken & Co., and W. II. Sudhoff, corner Fifth and Main streets.
