WHO CANNOT BE CURED. Backed up by over a third of a century cf remarkable and uniform cures, a record such as no other remedy for the diseases fend weaknesses peculiar to women ever attained, the proprietors and ' makers of lit. Pierce's Favorite Prescription now feel fully warranted in offering1 to pay $500 in 3c pal money of the United States for any case of Leucorrhea, Female Weakness, J'rolapsus, or Falling- of Womb, which they cannot cure. All they ask is a fair and itaionable trial of their means of cure. -I was a great sufferer for six vears and doc 1 red all the time with a number of phvsicians t ut did not receive any benefit," writes Mrs Georpe Sogden. of 641 Bonda Street, Saginaw (South. Michigan. "I had gien up all hope of ever gettiug U tter. Thought I would write to you. When I received your letter telling me what to do I commenced to take your Favorite J re?cription ' and follow your advice. I have .fcken ten bottles in all. also five vials of the ; Pleasant Pellets. Am now regular, after havrg missed two years aud suffered with pain in ine head and back. I was so nervous, could not eta or sleep. Xow I can thank you for mr Jtcovery." Don't hesitate to write to Dr. R.V. Pierce, thief consulting' physician to the Invalids5 Hotel and Surgical Institute, at Buffalo, N.Y., if you want good medical advice from h fully qualified physician as to your perf onal good health. Such letters are always fcnswered free of charge and confidentially. A medicine which has outsold all others fur women in the past third of a century and being- recommended by all those who have used it, i a good remedy to tie to. Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription is purely vegetab'e and does not contain a particle of alcohol to destroy the Hood corpuscles and weaken the system, io not permit the dealer to insult your intelligence by suggesting some other compound which he recommends as "just as good," because he mates it himself.

FATAL FUMBLES AGAIN
Mar the Chances of the Quakers
Football Dope.
The Earlham team, comparatively
fresh aft?r their hard battle on Saturdav Avith De Pauw -were out for
light practice yesterday afternoon. The eleven as a whole has a small
collection of "Charley Horses," bumps, scratches and sore muscles, but considering the sound drubbing that the Methodists administered to them all the players are in good trim. The fatal fumbling of the back field once more lost the Quakers one if not two touchdowns. An Earlham back was sent over once for a score only to loose the ball to a De Pauw man. This same thing happened on De Pauw's ten yard line. Earlham 's defense was weak but this can be accounted for because of the light line and the "storming" ability of the heavy Methodist backs. Summing everything up the De Pauw game only goes to show the crying need for efficient back field watching.
The record of the Earlham team in the four games played 'this season is as follows : Earlliam,0 Wabasli A. C, 10. Earlham, 0 Purdue University, 2S. Earlham, G Indiana Medics, G. Earlham, 0 De Pauw Univ. 35. Total Points scored by Earlham G; total points scored by opponents 85. Some interesting football "dope" on Indiana teams can now be -discussed by the local followers of the game. So far the three teams that usually fight for the college championship of the State, Earlham, DePauw, and Wabash, it looks like the race had settled down to a runaway affair. De Pauw, a nose to the good of Wabash. Earlham was defeated by Purdue, 23 to 0. Purdue is only able to defeat Wabash G to 0 while De Pauw rolls Tip a higher score on Earlham, 35 to 0, than Purdue did. From the showing Indiana, Purdue and Notre, Dame, "the big three" it looks as though Indiana had the superior team. Still football dope is very unreliable.

one of his favorite pastimes. Gather
ing Daw-paws is really jolly fun fvr
the small boy at this particular time of the year, and walnuts, hickory nuts and persimmons as well can be found in this vicinity. Paw-paws are unknown in -many sections of the country, and the person who takes a paw-paw for the first time goes at eating one in a gingerly manner. Ha is not certain that he likes the Indian banana until he has tried them two or three times. It would be hard to find a more delicious fruit than a well frosted paw-paw, one that is quite black on the skin and soft. The seeds are smooth and black, and much larger than a coffee bean. Few people are aware that this section of the country is one of the few where paw paws grow, and the ramarkable fact is that practically none are ship
ped to other points. As a rule, pawpaw bushes are found in patches, and even though one does not like to eat them it is a pleasure to go out and search for them. The bushes do
not grow to any great height, and the fruit may be easily plucked or
shaken down after a frost.
Already the small boy is spending
his Saturdays in the country in
search of black walnuts, and stained lips and hands will now be a common
sight in the school rooms. Both hickory nuts and walnuts are" thick
this year, and nutting parties will be
popular until it becomes too cold to
take the long tramps. Within a few
weeks more autumn will have greatly
changed the appearance of the beautiful woodlands about Kiehmond and , . i , t i: i
