Yesterday the Wayne County Teachers' Association held its first meeting of the year in the auditorium of the High school building. Mr. F. L. Townsend, the president, occupied the chair. The program was opened at 10:30 a. m. with a selection by the High School orchestra, after which Dr. Madison Swadener conducted the devotional exercises. He read three separate passages from the gospels and in a brief address which followed pointed out the un-
