will be conducted for about four d.iy Heretofore the inspection party h. always started from Pittsburg.
The inspection party will travel i;i three special trains and will go from
Col ambus to Chicago via Dayton, Richmond. New Castle and Logans-
7 nort. and will return east over the

intendents, engineers maintenance of
wav and assistant engineers.

don their working clothes and go out
along the track and toil the same as any other day. The reason assigned for this is that the section men are
working overtime to get things in shape for the inspection.

Mrs. Charles Wise is only able to
tit up a little from the effects of her
poor health.
Mrs. Willis Nicholson was taken
suddenly sick and died last Tuesday She was buried at Sugar Grove, on
Friday, Rev. Wilson conducted the
exercises.
Mr. Bea'ther Lamb and wife of Kan
sas, rormer residents or the coointy, are visiting their many old friends and relatives.
Mr. Wisehart and wife Ede Martin-
dale and wife, and Gertie Retts are taking in the World's Fair. You ought to see how nice our town looks since so many have put down
tide walks. Mr, Merritt Nicholson, wife and daughter are taking a visit with John D. Rathfons at Redkey. j Mrs. C. A. Baldwin's health is very
poor. Mie can only it up a part or the time. She is afflicted with drop- (, sy and progressive paralysis. j Farmers are done sowing wheat. !
They will remember the task without writing it down. The corn crop will make from nothing to 40 or 150 bushels per acre.
Mr. Bob Sharp will move on the Floyd farm. Our school under the care of Prof. Wood as principal and the Misses Lamb and Miss Lawler, as assistants, are starting out nicely.
Rev. Wilson of the R. U. B. church
is one of us now. We hope he will do us mucli good. We are glad to tell people that we
will have a course of lectures here
this winter. Ask Mr. Murdock at" the drug store. He will tell you all about it. The first will be delivered on the evening of the 18th of October by J. P. Brushingham, subject, the bright and dark side of the national
life of Ireland. Come and hear him.
