"The Man of Destiny." a I he appearance of Arnold Daly as Napoleon in Bernard Shaw's play, "the Man of Destiny," is as un conventional as is the author's treatment of the conqueror's character. He is not the stodgy figure in green coat and too well filled white waist coat, with the one pasted curl who is expected because there has been no other stage Napoleon. The Napoleon of Shaw and Daly is the voung Bon aparte, just at the entrance of his career of world mastery, filled with minnn weaknesses and no demi-god in manner, thought or appearance. The entire aim of both playwright and player seems, at first blush, to e inconiclastic but, in reality, Naloleon is made to seem all the greater in the end because, for the first time he is made a. man and not a statuesque-unreality, will be here soon.
