An extension of the Indianapolis & Eastern interurban line into Cambridge City from Dublin is being considered by the business men and the city council of Cambridge and if satisfactory arrangements can be agreed upon the proposed extension will be made. The line, if built as now planned, will enter the city at Church street, down Church street to Foote street, where the track will turn and lead up Main street to the Big Four tracks, then south again to Church street. It is thought that the transfer of passengers between the Richmond interurban cars and the I. cc K. cars in Cambridge City would not only be a benefit to that city, but to both traction lines. This extension, it is expected, Avill be made sometime this fall, so that the transfer at Dublin in the winter will be avoidul. That the extension is assured is a foregone fact. The benefits Cambridge would derive froi this change are sufficient to warrant the extension from Dublin. Also accommodations are much letter at Cambridge- than at the present point

of cliam;-inir the interurb.ui. The

as he did last season. With Pierce out of the Indianapolis team that ag

gregation will look weak. Bannon. Couushall, O Tiara and McGalvarv are the only players left on the team and all except IJannon are of mediocre class. J. K. Beaver, one of the owners of the Marion rink and polo franchise, is in the city and stated that Joe Fox had been engaged to manage the Marion team next season. Practically the same team will represent the Grant county capital as last year. The or.ly question is as to a second rusher. Warner and McGilvary are both considered but it is probable that an entirely new man will be engaged for

partner.

Correspondence Palladium : Stuttgart, Ark., Sept 23. We arrived in Stuttgart and found everything lovely. My friends Mr. William Erk, of Richmond, Mr. Dills of Boston and Mr. Miller of Illinois, are here and say they like the country fine. We were down to my farm yesterday. Today we went fishing. It is not like fishing in Whitewater. The Lagros is a small stream, but there

are fish in it that will weigh 100 lbs. The largest we caught was three ftet ;

long. Saw a deer killed yesterday that when dressed weighed 125 pounds. Corn is immense, and cotton picking is occupying the time of the peo
