They were not lying awake nights thinking of schemes to get me married but 1 believe they will accept it gracefullv. " Mr. Turner told the story of his courtship, which was carried on mostly by mail until last week when he visited his fiance at Windsor, Canada, "She had asked me regarding my age," he said, "and I answered that I believe that a man is as old as he looks and that a woman is as old as she says she is. After Ave had been together for several hours for a trip on the lake 1 told her the truth. 'Would it have made any difference if you had known before that I am 81 years old?' I asked. " 'It might have made a difference then, but it does not now she replied. Then she added, 'I am ready for the ceremony. ' "As far as the subject of my age is concerned," he continued, "I believe I lack considerable of being in my dotage. Anyhow, three other women have seen fit to propose to me in the last year."
