DIVISIONS ADDED TO CITY OP LATE MAKE -OUTLOOK GOOD LOTS SOLD FAST Much Building Chiefly in South and West Parts Has Been Going on Lately. The real estate outlook in Richmond at present is better than it has been for several years past, and this year bids fair to beeome a banner year in real estate dealings. Three new additions have been made to this city within the past summer, all of which have been made in the most swiftly growing portions of the city, namely, the south end and West Richmond. The Earlham Heights lots went like hot cakes, and with a day or so after the opening of their sale, they were all gone. Yesterday and Sunday another addition in "West Richmond was opened, with the same result, and the new addition of Fred Von Pein, south part of the city, is almost entirely sold out. The fact that these lots sold so rapidly and at such fancy prices is indicative of the fact that Richmond real estate is looked upon as a sure investment, and one that is safe. The three new additions have all been opened up for residence districts entirely, showing that lots for residences are also at a premium in the city. The new additions to the city will give three new residence sections, and will open up comparatively new parts of the town to lot hunters, so that in a few years these places will be flourishing residence districts and Richmond will have advanced another step towards being a large city. . The rapidity with which these new sections of lots have been sold has caused a feeling of confidence with regard to the condition of real estate and, doubtless, within the next year, several other divisions will be platted Richmond is rapidly outgrowing its old boundaries and there seems to be an overflow. All of the houses in the city that are rented are filled, and it is a, very hard task to secure a house for rent, save in very undesirable quarters. This is assigned as one of the reasons for the many buildings that have been made during the past summer, and this, together with the many new purchases of residences of lots gives an assurance that Richmond is hustling and outgrowing its present quarters. It is a noticeable fact, too, that the most of the new houses have been built either in the south or west parts of the city, owing to the steady fights which the residents of these portions have made for improvements. Cholera Infantum Thte disease has lost its . terrors since Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy came into general use. The uniform success which attends the use of this remedy in all cases of bowel complaints in children has made it a favorite wherever its value has become known. For sale by A. G. Luken & Co., and W. H.Sudhoff, Fifth and Main streets. DUBLIN. The tail end of the St. Louis cy clone struck us in a kind of a side wipe Friday night blowing down the corn badly. Farmers have been hauling their oats to market at about 27 cents per bushel. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Dillon of Wich if a, Kan., has been here on a visit to parents and friends for some days. But feAv if any from this section at tended the Old Settlers meeting at King's Grove Saturday owing to the unfavorable weather in the morning. Mrs. Lizzie Brown and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Morris Brown, from Anderson, were visiting friends and relatives in Dublin Tuesday last. They were former residents here. er and seller. He makes it a specialty to match horses, being an expert in that line. Recently he sold his fine matched span of bays to a buyer of Rushyille at quite a fancy price in addition to which he and Mr. Fred Brail of Newark, New Jersey, bought a lot of heavy horses, 14 in number in two days which Mr. Brail had shipped east, the lot averaging 1,500 lbs. Thomas and Jesse Henby started last Thursday for the World's Fair to be gone some S or 10 days seeing the sights. The Friends Sunday school had a very pleasant picnic at Henby 's Grove last Wednesday, two miles south east of here. Quarterly meeting was held at the M. E. church Sunday and Sunday night closing with Monday morning session. The Saerament was had at Sunday forenoon services Rev. John McMahan of Dublin assisting the pastor, Rev. Walters in the services. Presiding Elder Hill preached Sunday evening. The earth that has4 been parched for a month of more for want of rain has been relieved by the glorious rains that fell Friday, Friday night and part of Saturday, the blessings of
which is yet to be seen. The Huddleston family reunion that is billed to be held at Jackson Park Sept. 3, will in all probability exceed many meetings of this kind, at least in number. The family is one of the most extensive on the line of increase many of whom live in this section of Indiana. The word at this writing is that Rev. G. E. Floyd has been returned to the Dublin and North Salem charge and that Rev. Wm. Oler has been appointed presiding elder at the IT. B. conference which met at North Grove, Miami County, during the present week. The Misses Ina Hei'bst and XaM'.e Crull came home on a vacation from adeaf and dumb institute of New York city where they are employed last week. They had tickets to the World's Fair and visited it before they returned home. In coming west they came by the way of the gveat Niagara and had a good and listing view of it. They will return tin; first of September. There are tl;oe or four other young ladies from Dublin in the same institute. ' Mrs. Mary Finch and j?xand(.i lighter, Miss Helen Gray of Grafton, Pa., are here visiting old friends, rel-itives and their former home. Mrs. Finch was a daughter of Daniel Crull, once a prominent citizen r Dublin. ; You little knew when first we met That some day you would be The lucky fellow I'd choose to let Pay for my Rocky Mountain Tea. H., "No remedy helped me until I began using Elictric Betters which did me more good than all the medicines I ever used. They have also kept my wife in excellent health for years.
