Pay and night, sunshine and caadow are not more different from each oiher than h healthful from a sickly woman. Th:- healthful woman carries light and uiiihiue with htr wherever she goes.
j lie woman who suffers kN li Zv - s u nsss and the Ife&Mf- . others. She ?jf Sl cannot help it. V? rT Those who eufsA ler cannot smile and sing. HI health in woman is generally traceAble to disease of the deli -ate womanly organism. Many women have been reStored to happiness by the use of Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription. If there is an invalid woman, suiiering from female weakness, prolaps.'.s, or falling of womb, or from leucorrhea who has used Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription without complete success Dr. Pierce would like to hear from such person and it will be to her advantage to write as he offers, in perfect good faith, a reward of $500 for any case of the above maladies which he canuot cure. "I feel it my duty to inform you that I had been a siuTcrer for 'mr.v v irs from nervousness with a'.; i'- - ;i- t : ' :o!r.phcations, writes Mrs. O. N. 1-ir.hei. : iSe-j I. xmgton Ave,, New York, N. Y. "I v.-:is coc-t. :itly going to see a phvsician. I was inuuee ! to ask Dr. rierce's advice. I then took five bottles of ' Favorite Prescription.' I am not now cross and irritable, and I have a good color in my face ; have also gained about ten pounds in weight and one thousand of comfort, for I am a nevy woman once more." The dealer who offers a substitute for Favorite Prescription " does so to gain the little more profit paid on the sale of less meritorious medicines. Dr. Pierce's Common Sense Medical Adviser is sent free on receipt of stamps to pay expense of mailing only. Send 21 one-cent stamps for the paper-covered book, or 31 stamps for the cloth bound. Mrs. Elias Discharged on Preliminary Hsarlng. New York, June 11. Mrs. Hannah Elias was discharged late yesterday afternoon on motion of Assistant District Attorney Rand acting for District Attorney Jerome at the conclusion of the testimony of John R. Piatt, the aged millionaire who caused her txrest for extortion. Mr. Piatt proved a disappointing witness. To questions bearing directly on the charges on which tho woman's JOHN R. PL ATT. arrest was made he answered repeatedly, "I don't know." His helplessness and his apparently unrelialle memory surprised those who attended his examination. He did not remember whether he had given Mrs. Elias large sums of money during the past ten yoars as charged, and did not remember signing certain of the papers in connection with his charges against her. The ordeal was a trying one for the aged man and his replies became scarcely audible toward the last. As soon as he had left the witness chair Assistant District Attorney Rand said: "Your honor, I think the parties to this miserable scandal ought to be allowed to stew in thei own grease. There is no evidence before you that will possibly serve to hold this woman KT!P. HAVXATI ELIAS. on a charge of extortion. I recommend that she be discharged. The magistrate thereupon discharged the woman. Immediately afterward Mrs. Elias was rearrested on a writ in a civil suit originally brought against her by Mr. Piatt to recover $085,000. She was released a few minutes later on $20,000 bail and was escorted by detectives through the crowded corridors of the criminal courts building to the street, where her carriage was waiting. Several thousand persons, among them hundreds of negroes, attracted by the case, thronged the building and stood crowded in the street outside. When Mr. Piatt, feeble and trembling and apparently dazed, was helped out of the building the crowd hooted and hissed. Train Robbers Get Away. Newcastle, Col., June 11. Numerous reports that the large posse which is pursuing two Denver & Rio Grande train robbers were about to close in on them have been received, but the latest information is to the effect that at no time has the posse been within rifle range of the hunted bandits. It is now believed that the men have escaped into Gunnison county. MARKET REPORT Prevailing Prices for Grain and Livestock on June 10. Indianapolis Grain and Livestock.
