COMPETITION
In the Supply of Medicinal Waters at New Paris. It seems that Cedar Springs Hotel Company is not to have a monopoly ! of the business of marketing medicinal water, and the question whether it will be able to compete with a new enterprise Yiow launched, is yet to be decided. We are reliably informed that Mr. D. II. Mohler is making arrangements to bottle and ship the water of Hut ton's Springs, and has already received a large shipment of bottles and cases to be used for that purpose. It is true that Hutton's Springs have been running in a drain tile under a cultivated field for some years, but there is nothing to prevent bringing it to the surface again, and with two strong firms in this business New Paris ought soon to achieve a worldwide fame in this line. Xew Paris Mirror. HOT SHOTS Fired at Our Councilmen by the New Paris Mirror. The Xew Paris Mirror, in discussing the action of council in the Fifth ward saloon matter says: It is easily conceivable that there will be blood on the moon in the fifth ward and that the people of Richmond will not soon forget the outrageous treatment accorded them by their alleged representatives in council. Such a condition was foreshadowed by several speeches made from the lobby after the vote had been taken. The five who had principle enough to respect the will of the majority and to array themselves on the right side of a great moral question were: H. W. Deuker, Jas. E. Harris, O. A. Leftwich, W. P. O'Xeal and C. S. Xeal. WE THINK SO NEITHER.
