About seventy five relatives in all were present, including a large number from this city and Eaton, Ohio. The attendance was quite good, nearly all of the members being present. O'Brien entertained . the Tuesday Social Club last evening at their home on south twelfth street. The evening was a very pleasant one spent at progressive euchre and at the close of the games an elegant supper was served and the members spent a short social hour. Mr. and Mrs. McCarthy were the guests of the club for the evening. The place of the next meeting was not decided upon but will be announced later. Miss Jessie Jay, violinist, Miss j Eunice Tracy, pianist and Mr. Harry Paris, tenor soloist, who form the Mendelssohn Trio which has lately sprung into proimennce in the musfcal world gave a recital at Muncie last evening which proved to be one of the best musicales of the season. This trio, each member being a star in, his or her line, has been giving a series of recitals lately and has created a furore. time. The L. C. K. Club held a very pleasant meeting yesterday afternoon at the home of the Misses Emma and Victoria Lindemuth, on south fifteenth street. Quite a large number of the members were present, together with several guests of the club.
The subject for the afternoon was "Lonefellow the Greatest American Poet." and Miss Emma Lindemuth entertained the club with an excellent sketch of the life and works of the poetr narrating the events of his life in chronological order and presenting a fine picture of his deeds. She gave lists of his greatest works, telling briefly the cause of their being written and explained their true greatness. Each of the members read a short selection from one or another of Longfellow's poems, after which Miss Lindemuth rendered a fine musical selection, which was well received. A twocourse luncheon was daintily served and the members spent the remainder of the afternoon in social enjoyment. Mrs. Knight of south twelfth street, was appointed hostess for the next meeting of the club. The members of the Earlham facul

Quite a number of Richmond persons attended the commencement at Hagerstown last evening, several of the graduates having a large circle of friends and relatives in this city. A reception was held after the commencement exercises, the fourteen graduates being the guests of honor. DaVis' orchestra, of this city, furnished the music. . ,
