Lydia E, Pinkham's Vegetable Compound

Dear Mbs. Pinkham : I suffered for six years with dysmenorrhea (painful periods), so much so that 1 dreaded every month, as I knew it meant threej or four days of intense pain. The doctor said this was due to an inflamed condition of the uterine appendages caused by repeated and neglected colds. 44 If young girls only realized how dangerous it is to take cold at this critical time, much suffering1 would be spared them. 44 Dear Mbs. PntEHAM : A while ago my health began to fail because of female troubles. The doctor did nothelpme. I re

membered that my mother had used Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound on many occasions for irregularities and uterine troubles, and 1 felt sure that it could not harm me at any rate to give it a trial. , 44 1 was certainly clad to find that within a week I felt much better, the terrible

the back and side were beginning to cease, and at the time of menstruation I did not have nearly as serious a time as heretofore, so I continued its use for two months, and at the

end of that time I was like a new woman. I really have never felt better in my life, have not had a sick headache since, and weigh 20 pounds more than I ever did, so J unhesitatingly recommend your medicine." Mrs. Mat IlAULE,Edgerton,Wis., President Household Economics Club.-

At first sparkling wines were only made in the French province of Cham pagne. In the early part of the nineteenth century the first experiments to manufacture sparkling Avines were made in Germany. The wines, however, grown in Champagne are best suited for this purpose, hence most of the German firms manufacturing champagnes obtain their wines from Champagne and mix them with Ger man wines. Mme. Marie Paille, the autocrat Parision hairdressers, has decided that the hideous chignon is to come in asrain. All of feminine France doubtless will bow in submission to this decree, Englishwomen will fall into line, and it is not to be thought tha' Uncle Sam's daughters will lag behind. The chignon has been d

ornamentation, with the nose ring and the jingling braclet. It is unsanitary.
