All is activity among the members of St. Joseph's Benevolent society and nightly rehearsals are being held and they promise one of "those best" ones in the way of a minstrel entertainment at the Phillips Monday and Tuesday evenings. Seats may be reserved at Nixon's. "Blest be the tie that binds" is one of the best old songs ever written and will be sung by the public with a will Saturday when it learns that the stage employes of the Gennett theatre would be tied under the stage to keep them from making a terrible show of themselves and at the same time torture the long suffering public with alleged music. The "boys" had organized a quartet composed of Stage Manager Novere, Jas. Hart, Teddy solo cymbalist Frederick Ward Damon yellow clarinet, and Hartcorn, base drum and mocking bird whistle. Supt. Gormon put a stop to rehearsals and the boys will not be allowed out of the theatre when Gus Sun's minstrels go on pa rade Saturday noon. Everything is going forward with a merry click that plainly says that all plans are working very smooth and even and Saturday will establish another minstrel success record. The King Company.
