IT MUST BE TRUE. Richmond Readers Must Come to That Conclusion. It is not the telling of a ; single case in Richmond but scores of citizens testify. Endorsement by people you know bears the stamp of . truth. The following is one of the public statements made in this locality about Doan's Kidney Pills: S. F. Thomas of 203 north nineteenth street, a member of company B 57th Indiana Infantry during the civ
il war, says: "I had constant aching pains through my loins; if I made the least move it caused sharp and piercing twinges to pass through my back so that I could hardly endure it and there was difficulty with the kidney secretions. Seeing Doan's Kidney Pills recommended, although all other medicines I tried failed to do any good, I thought they . might help me and I got a box at A. G. Luken 's drug store and began their use. lney quickly relieved me. 1 never had a remedy to act so promptly and go right to the source of the trouble. My wife also used them to the best of satisfaction. For sale by all dealers. Price 50c. Foster-Milburn Co., Buffalo, N. Y., sole agents for the United States. Remember the name Doan's and take no other. ATTENTION, FARMERS ! Why remtdn in the North and ttav in doors six months in the year consuming what 'you raise during -the other six months? "A Millionaire Tramp." Several years ago a young man in a small Ohio town conceived the idea of adopting the theatrical profession; he did so, and was successful; he was engaged to marry a girl at his own home. One June day, when the flowers, the trees and even the air breathed of love, he came for her, but her parents, descendants of the grim old Puritanic stock that burned poor helpless old women at the stake through ignorant superstition, refused to allow their daughter to marry an actor. They had naught against the man, but would not brook his profession; the same unpitying relentlessness. that steadied the torch in their forefathers' hands, caused them to light the fires to funeral pyre of the young couples' hearts. Hot blooded and impulsive the young man threw everything to the winds and took to drink. Soon it had gained such a hold on him that he was unable to retain an engagement with a company. The pace flew faster until one morning he awoke to find himself a tramp. Drifting about from place to place he one day landed in a small Indiana town. There was a little repertoire company billed there that night. They were short an actor, so he was dressed up and put on for the part. His first entrance brought him face to face with the leadinar lady, his oyd sweetheart. Around this pretty story Lawrence Russell has woven one of the cleverest plays in "A Millionaire Tramp" that has pver graced the stage, and Elmer Walters' magnificent production of it makes the play a delightful oasis in the dreary desert of modern theatrical conventionalities.
